Real Soceidad vs Getafe Prediction: Azulones can make more happy memories at the Anoeta

Real Sociedad secured European football for next season with last Saturday's Copa del Rey final success over Atletico Madrid (2-2, 4-3 pens) in Sevilla, making their final seven La Liga fixtures rather meaningless. That's certainly not the case for eighth-placed Getafe, who they host at the Anoeta in San Sebastian on Wednesday evening (19:00 BST, Premier Sports Player).
The visitors are a point and place behind La Real, and are well in the race to qualify for either the Uefa Europa League or Uefa Conference League. Below are my Real Sociedad vs Getafe predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds.
Real Sociedad vs Getafe Betting Tips

Team News
Real Sociedad head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo could make wholesale changes to his starting XI following Saturday's taxing victory over Atletico.
The likes of Mikel Oyarzabal, Jon Arambu and Carlos Soler could drop down to the bench on Wednesday, or even be rested entirely, with players such as Yangel Herrera, Brais Mendez and Aritz Elustondo eyeing opportunities.
Sergio Gomez is suspended after receiving a red card in his side's last La Liga game, a 3-3 draw at home to Deportivo Alaves on April 11, while Alvaro Odriozola and Inaki Ruperez (both knee) will definitely miss out due to injury, with doubts over Igor Zubeldia (thigh) and Arsen Zakharyan (stomach).
Getafe boss Jose Bordalas will be without suspended defenders Domingos Duarte and Zaid Romero for the trip to San Sebastian. Romero was sent off in last week's 1-0 loss at Levante, where Duarte picked up his 10th yellow card of the league campaign.
Juanmi, who scored Getafe's only goal in the reverse fixture as they fell to a 2-1 defeat on January 9, is ruled out, while Borja Mayoral (knee) is a major doubt.
Real Sociedad vs Getafe Predicted Lineups
- Real Sociedad: Remiro; Elustondo, Martin, Beitia, Munoz; Gorrotxategi, Herrera; Kubo, Mendez, Marin; Oskarsson
- Getafe: Soria; Kiko Femenia, Abqar, Djene, Boselli, Juan Iglesias; Liso, Milla, Arambarri, Satriano; Vazquez
Real Sociedad are 5/4 to do the double over Getafe, implying a 44.4% probability of success, while the visitors are 12/5, or a 29.4% chance, with the draw offered at 21/10.
Real Sociedad vs Getafe Stats
- GET have won three of their last five away games (L2)
- RSO were held to a 3-3 draw by ALA last time out on home soil

- Liso (GET) has registered a shot on target in two of his last three apps
Draw No Bet - Getafe @ 11/8
La Real could benefit from fresh legs and hungry minds on Wednesday, with many of their fringe players eyeing a strong end to the season to either put themselves in the shop window, or to convince their current club that they have more to offer in 2026/27.
That's why I'm not all the way in on a Getafe win on Wednesday, but I like the look of the visitors in the Draw No Bet market, meaning that if the game ends in a stalemate, your stake will be returned.
Getafe have won three of their last five games on the road (L2), beating Alaves (0-2), Real Madrid (0-1) and Espanyol (1-2) since the start of February, and only four clubs - Barcelona (31), Real Madrid (30), Celta Vigo (27) and Villarreal (24) - have picked up more away points in this season's La Liga than the Azulones (20).
La Real are unbeaten at home in the league since December 12, winning five and drawing three of their last eight games at the Anoeta, but they were held to a 3-3 draw there by relegation-threatened Alaves last time out, and now that they have qualified for next season's Europa League via the Copa del Rey, have little to play for now in La Liga.
Getafe won 3-0 in last season's corresponding fixture, so they have fond recent memories of this ground, and they can take another step towards European qualification on Wednesday against the much-changed hosts.

Bet Builder - Brais Mendez (RSO) 2+ Shots & Adrian Liso (GET) 1+ Shots on Target @ 9/4
La Real's Mendez didn't come off the bench in Saturday's Copa del Rey final, so I'm expecting him to start and play the majority of Wednesday's game.
The 29-year-old is averaging 1.8 shots per 90 minutes in this season's La Liga, and he scored with his only shot in January's reverse fixture.
At home, I'm backing the Spaniard to double his attempts tally.
I'm adding in a shot on target for Mendez's countryman, Getafe forward Adrian Liso, who has registered 10 shots on target in the 2025/26 La Liga campaign from 25 appearances (19 starts) at an average of 0.6 per 90.
The 21-year-old has registered a shot on target in two of his last three matches, and he'll back himself to at least test the goalkeeper on Wednesday.
