Bournemouth put a dent in Arsenal’s title chances at the weekend by winning at the Emirates Stadium, and they will hope to get another away win when they head north to face Newcastle United this Saturday (15:00 BST).

Below you can find my Newcastle vs Bournemouth predictions featuring team news and more.

Team News

Joelinton picked up his 10th yellow of the season against Crystal Palace and is suspended for the next two games, with Jacob Ramsey likely to deputise in midfield. Bruno Guimaraes is more likely to return next weekend against Arsenal, with Fabian Schar and Emil Krafth also still sidelined due to injury.

Bournemouth head north with no new injury concerns, although Lewis Cook’s thigh issue looks set to rule him out again. Tyler Adams is back fit although Ryan Christie and Alex Scott should start in what could be an unchanged XI for the Cherries.

Today's Football Fixtures

Over 3.5 goals @ 6/5

Andoni Iraola has announced that he will depart Bournemouth this summer, so it will certainly be interesting to see how the Cherries finish the season. They got a phenomenal result at Arsenal, and I want to see them back that up here, but let’s start by backing over 3.5 goals.

Back in January, these two went toe-to-toe in a 3-3 draw in the FA Cup, while Bournemouth ran out 4-1 winners in the corresponding league fixture last term. Ten of the last 12 Newcastle home games have seen over 2.5 goals while 15 of Bournemouth's 32 league matches this season have produced over 3.5 goals.

I think we are set for another open and entertaining encounter at St James’ Park.

Bournemouth to win and BTTS @ 4/1

I think this is an amazing price given what we saw Bournemouth do to Arsenal last week, and their recent history in this fixture. My one concern is a drop-off after Iraola’s announcement, but I think this group of players is too professional to do that.

Newcastle just haven’t impressed me recently. In fact, Newcastle have lost seven of their last 10 matches in the Premier League, an unwanted run that only Spurs can match over the same timespan. The hosts have scored in each of their last nine defeats in all competitions so should be good for a goal, but they haven’t beaten Bournemouth in their last seven meetings and I think that run will continue on Saturday.
