Team News

Having clocked up 180 play-off minutes during the international break, it is possible that Demichelis could opt to leave Muriqi on the bench here, but that would be a risk with none of Mallorca’s other forwards looking threatening in front of goal.

Club captain Antonio Raíllo is a significant late injury absentee, while squad players Jan Salas and Lucas Bergström are also out. Marash Kumbulla and Takuma Asano are set to return to the matchday squad following recent absences.

Football Odds

With Bayern to come on Tuesday, there are some big selection calls for Arbeloa. He must decide whether to throw Mbappé and Jude Bellingham back into the side. Both featured off the bench in the derby a fortnight ago following their recent injuries.

Valverde serves a suspension following his red card in that game, while Rodrygo and Thibaut Courtois are the two confirmed injury absentees. Vinícius Júnior has not trained fully following his return from international duty with Brazil, and he could be rested ahead of the Champions League quarter-finals.

Mallorca vs Real Madrid Odds

Mallorca are priced at 9/2 to claim what would be a third win in the space of six meetings between the clubs at Son Moix. You can back the Draw at 16/5, while Real Madrid are the 4/7 favourites.

Both teams to score is priced at 8/11. If you’re expecting the hosts to be competitive, Mallorca are given a 15/8 chance of winning either half, while they’re on offer at 11/4 to score over 1.5 goals in the game.

Real Madrid are available at 7/4 to score over 2.5 goals. You can also back Los Blancos with a -1.00 Handicap at 6/4, while they’re given an 11/4 chance of winning both halves.

There is uncertainty over who will start up front for each team. Having clocked up 78 minutes across two friendlies for France during the international break, Mbappé should be ready to play. La Liga’s top scorer is given an 11/5 chance of scoring first, while he’s priced at 8/13 to score anytime.

Alternative options in the Anytime Goalscorer market include Bellingham at 11/5 and Brahim Díaz at 23/10. Meanwhile, you can back Muriqi to score anytime for Mallorca at 13/8.

Half-Time Result - Draw @ 7/5

Real Madrid have struggled to get into their groove on the road this season. They’ve been leading at the break in only 35% of their away league games. Exactly half of their road trips in La Liga have been level at the interval.

That trend has been even clearer since Arbeloa took charge. In fact, Real Madrid have not been in front at half-time in any of their eight away fixtures across all competitions under the new coach’s guidance. Six of those matches were level at the break.

With Valverde sidelined and doubts over Vinícius’ fitness, they may again struggle to get going, and I’m backing the Draw in the Half-Time Result market at 11/8.

Real Madrid to win & Under 3.5 goals @ 7/5

Mallorca can take confidence from some of their positive recent results against Real Madrid, but they haven’t been as convincing this season. A return of just two points from 12 matches against top-seven opponents strongly suggests they will ultimately fall short in this game.

A big win for the visitors looks unlikely, though. Real Madrid are yet to score more than twice on their travels under Arbeloa. With at least a couple of major absentees and the likes of Bellingham and Mbappé still building up their fitness, it’s hard to see them hitting top gear.

Even if Los Blancos do get in a position where they’re leading by a couple, Arbeloa’s attention will turn to Tuesday’s clash with Bayern and he’ll likely bring some players off in a bid to conserve energy. Given that, I’m backing Real Madrid to win and Under 3.5 goals at 7/5.
