Wolves vs Liverpool Prediction: Reds to provoke Andre again

Sorry Derby County fans but Wolves can now safely say they aren't the worst team in Premier League history thanks to their victory against Aston Villa on Friday. The Old Gold are in action at Molineux again on Tuesday against Liverpool (20:15 GMT, TNT Sports 1) in the hopes of securing another positive result.
The Reds head to the West Midlands on a three-game winning streak in the top flight, something they have managed just twice so far in 2025/26. Below you will find my Wolves vs Liverpool predictions, supported by the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
Wolves boss Rob Edwards is currently dealing with injuries to Hwang Hee-chan (calf) and Leon Chiwome (knee). After a strong display on Friday, the former Middlesbrough head coach may decide to field the same XI against Liverpool.
Midfielder Andre is walking a disciplinary tightrope. One more yellow card would take his total for the season up to 10, which will trigger a two-game suspension.
Florian Wirtz (back), Alexander Isak (ankle), Conor Bradley, Giovanni Leoni (both knee) and Wataru Endo (foot) are all in the treatment room for Liverpool.
The Reds scored five goals in their triumph at home to West Ham United on Saturday, with four of Arne Slot's men on the scoresheet. The Dutch coach is likely to name the same team for the trip to Wolverhampton but young talent Rio Ngumoha will be itching to feature from the off.
Wolves vs Liverpool Predicted Lineups
- Wolves: Sa; Mosquera, S Bueno, T Gomes; Tchatchoua, A Gomes, J Gomes, H Bueno; Bellegarde, Mane; Armstrong
- Liverpool: Alisson; Frimpong, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Gakpo, Szoboszlai, Salah; Ekitike
Wolves are 13/2 to make it successive home wins in the league. Two of the Old Gold's past four outings in the top flight have ended level and the stalemate here is priced at 4/1.
Liverpool are on a three-game winning streak in the Premier League and they are 2/5 to extend it on Tuesday night. The Reds have beaten the hosts by a 2-1 scoreline in each of the last three meetings in this competition. This correct score to land on Tuesday is valued at 18/1.
Wolves vs Liverpool Stats
- Wolves have scored in each of their last 3 home games in the PL
- Liverpool have beaten Wolves 2-1 in each of the past 3 league meetings
- No player has picked up more yellow cards than Andre (9) in the Premier League this season
- Andre was booked in December's reverse fixture
Match Result & Both Teams To Score - Liverpool & Yes @ 7/4
Liverpool are on their joint-second best winning run of the season in the Premier League but you have to go all the way back to the beginning of the campaign for their most fruitful spell - five consecutive victories.
The defending champions are seeking a fourth-straight triumph in the top flight, while this contest offers them the chance to make it four in a row over Wolves in the league.
After two slender 1-0 wins at Sunderland and Nottingham Forest, Liverpool showed their attacking quality against West Ham at the weekend and Slot will be hoping for more of the same on Tuesday.
Wolves will be spurred on by beating high-flying Villa last time out, so this may end up being another close encounter between these two sides. Just one goal has separated them in each previous three meetings, and both teams have found the net on every occasion.
I think Liverpool's quality in depth should prove too much for the Old Gold to handle but the hosts are more than capable of breaching their opponents' defence, having scored in each of their past three home games in this competition.

Player To Receive A Card - Andre @ 9/5
Wolves' midfield pairing of Andre and Joao Gomes have had a lot of work to get through this season, and it has mostly been out of possession. The Brazilians have had to get stuck into a lot of unpleasant battles which have helped to leave Andre with nine yellow cards in the league.
No player in the division has picked up more bookings than the midfielder, who has so far committed 32 fouls across 26 appearances. Andre has been carded four times in his previous six outings as he precariously sits one away from a two-match ban.
Interestingly, it was against Liverpool that the 24-year-old reached the five-card threshold to trigger a one-game suspension back in December. Given the operators Liverpool have in the middle of the park, namely Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch, I suspect Andre will be pulled into trouble.
The 9/5 (implied probability of 35.7%) price for him to go into the book is too good to ignore.
