Bournemouth vs Sunderland Prediction: Black Cats to be tamed

AFC Bournemouth are seven games unbeaten in the Premier League and they have picked up four wins during this run. Team News
Ben Gannon-Doak, Julio Soler and Lewis Cook are all out with hamstring injuries for Bournemouth. Justin Kluivert (knee) and Matai Akinmboni (muscle) are also in the treatment room for the Cherries.
Marcus Tavernier returned to action from injury at West Ham United last time out and he will be itching to return to the starting XI on Saturday.
For Sunderland, they are expected to be without the services of Nordi Mukiele (unspecified), Reinildo, Bertrand Traore (both knee), Djiamgone Jocelin Ta Bi (ankle), Brian Brobbey, Romaine Mundle and Dennis Cirkin (all knocks).
Should Brobbey miss out, Wilson Isidor should be given another shot up front - with the Dutchman unhappy with his role in recent months. He had started the season strongly with four goals in the opening nine matches.
Bournemouth vs Sunderland Predicted Lineups
- Bournemouth: Petrovic, Truffert, Senesi, Hill, Jimenez, Toth, Scott, Adli, Kroupi, Rayan, Evanilson
- Sunderland: Roefs; Geertruida, Ballard, Alderete, Cirkin; Diarra, Sadiki; Hume, Le Fee, Talbi; Isidor
Bournemouth vs Sunderland Odds
Bournemouth have won three of their last five league games and they are 4/5 to inflict a fourth consecutive defeat on Sunderland.
Three of their past seven fixtures in the top flight have ended level, with the draw marketed at 11/4.
Sunderland were 3-2 winners when the two sides met on Wearside back in November. They are 3/1 to complete the double over the Cherries.
Both teams have scored in each of Bournemouth's previous five league encounters at the Vitality, with BTTS - Yes on offer at 8/11.
Bournemouth vs Sunderland Stats
- Bournemouth have won 3 of their last 5 league games
- Sunderland have lost 3 PL matches in a row
- Over 2.5 goals has landed in 6 of Sunderland's past 7 league fixtures
- Rayan has 2 goals in 4 PL appearances
Match Result & Total Goals Over/Under 2.5 - Bournemouth & Over @ 8/5
Bournemouth are second in the Premier League form table over the last seven matches, so they should fancy their chances against Sunderland, who are ranked 18th in this period.
The Cherries endured a slow start to the campaign but now they are looking in great shape as they sit eighth in the table, seven points off sixth. The hosts are in excellent form, which cannot be said for the Black Cats, who appear to be struggling because of injuries.
Sunderland won this fixture on home turf but I am expecting Bournemouth to get their revenge here on Saturday, consigning the Mackems to a fourth-straight defeat in the top flight.
I've boosted the selection by adding over 2.5 goals, which has been a winning selection in six of Sunderland's past seven league appearances. This generates an attractive 8/5 (implied probability of 38.5%) price.

Anytime Goalscorer - Rayan @ 8/5
Following Antoine Semenyo's departure for Manchester City, a lot of expectation was going to be put on the shoulders of his successor at Bournemouth. The Cherries picked out Rayan, a Brazilian teenager from Vasco de Gama, as the replacement and he has had an instant impact in Dorset.
The winger has contributed two goals and one assist in his first four Premier League appearances, so he is already looking to be an astute addition by Bournemouth.
He is quick, direct and skilful with the ball at his feet. I believe he is worth backing to find the net against a Sunderland team currently low on confidence.
