Lucky 15 Tips: Fabulous fare from Musselburgh on Saturday

I'm heading to Musselburgh for Saturday's Lucky 15 tips as I feel it's the most likely to be least affected by the weather, touch wood, in the unfortunate event of any other meeting(s) being lost.

15:00 - Absolutely Doyen @ 5/6

The mighty Paul Nicholls loves having a winner or two in Scotland and saddles the six-year-old Absolutely Doyen, of course by the great G1 middle-distance champion on the flat, and young Freddie Gingell has the riding assignment.

The selection joined Paul in Somerset in October and in four subsequent spins is unbeaten. He's up a naughty 9lb for his latest success at Wincanton 36 days ago (won eased down), but he still looks to hold all the aces this afternoon.

15:37 - Paddy's Policy @ 11/2

Excellent claimer Charlie Maggs takes 5lb off the back of Paddy's Policy, a Donald McCain-trained six-year-old Policy Maker gelding looking to get his career back on track after a couple of lengthy breaks and a wind procedure in December.

At the end of last month he then ran in a similar race to this at Donny and came a very respectable third, beaten 6.25l. He's down to a mark of 111, from 114 back in February, and if back firing on all cylinders (looks very promising on the evidence of last time), then he's got an outstanding chance in my book.
