Football Bet of the Day: Hurri-Kane forecast for Wednesday

Bayern Munich are having a fantastic season in both the Bundesliga and Uefa Champions League. Their next European fixture comes on Wednesday as they entertain Union Saint-Gilloise at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern have won five of their six UCL matches this term and they are the 1/9 favourites to take the victory.

Neither team has experienced a stalemate in the league phase but the draw is valued at 9/1, while it's 20/1 for USG to pull off a big upset.

I think there is great value in the goalscoring markets, though, given how this is is expected to be a routine victory for the home side, and the attacking resources Bayern have at their disposal.

Die Roten's front three of Harry Kane, Luis Diaz and Michael Olise has scored 58 goals between them across all competitions this season. Bayern have scored a whopping 71 goals in 18 Bundesliga games this term, whilst they have bagged 18 in six UCL fixtures so far.

This means that they are currently averaging three per game, and with their opponents having conceded 15 goals in the league phase, I believe there will be goals on offer to Bayern's attacking stars on Wednesday night.

Diaz and Olise offer value but I can't look past the free-scoring Kane, who has struck 32 goals in all competitions for the German champions this campaign already in just 28 appearances.

His odds to score anytime are not as appealing as a result, so instead I am backing him to bag a brace, something which he has already managed nine times this season across all competitions.

Two of them having come in the Champions League, though, against Chelsea and Pafos.

Bayern are yet to be beaten at the Allianz this season in all competitions, and 14 of Kane's goals this term have come inside this stadium, along with four of his braces. This is going to be a daunting task for USG, who are going to be coming up against a Bayern front line brimming with confidence, given their current exploits in 2025/26.

It also doesn't help matters that another key attacking figure is back in the picture, with Jamal Musiala returning from his lengthy injury spell in the 5-1 hammering of RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

Kane was on the scoresheet in that game, and I reckon he will be hungry for more goals on Wednesday against a team that have been quite vulnerable at the back in the Champions League.
