Football Bet of the Day: Goals to flow in Hoffenheim

Hoffenheim's push for the top four in the Bundesliga continues on Saturday when they host Bayer Leverkusen at the PreZero Arena (14:30 GMT). One point separates the two heading into this contest and both teams have endured mixed results of late.
This is an intriguing contest and I believe there is value in this game and so I have chosen it for my Football Bet of the Day, which you can check out below.
Football Bet of the Day - Saturday, January 17
- Both Teams To Score & Over/Under 3.5 Goals - Yes & Over @ 13/10

Hoffenheim vs Bayer Leverkusen Odds
Hoffenheim have won each of their last five home matches in the top flight and they are 11/8 to beat Leverkusen for the second time this season.
The two teams have drawn five games between them in the Bundesliga this term and the stalemate is priced at 11/4.
Leverkusen are 13/8 to get their own back on the hosts and leapfrog them in the table with a victory.
Given how tight things are between them in the table, I think it's best to avoid going with a results-based selection here for my Bet of the Day. Instead, I am focusing solely on goals because I think that this contest can produce quite a few.
Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen are the joint-third highest scorers in the division with 34 goals from their first 16 games of the season. Only Bayern Munich (66) and Eintracht Frankfurt (35 - at the time of writing) have more.
The market that jumps out at me is BTTS - Yes & over 3.5 goals because this has been a frequent trend for both teams of late. For the hosts, this bet has landed in four of their previous five home games in the Bundesliga and I do see this trend continuing on Saturday given that this is a top-six tussle.
Both teams have also found the net with four goals scored in the game in three of the visitors' past four outings in all competitions, with one one of them coming against third-placed RB Leipzig.
Football Bet of the Day Stats
- BTTS - Yes & Over 3.5 Goals has struck in four of Hoffenheim's last five home games in the league
- This has also been a winning selection in three of Leverkusen's past four competitive fixtures
Across the season, half (8/16) of Hoffenheim's league matches have seen this selection strike, and against the team directly beneath them in the table who have similar ambitions, this looks like the perfect game for this trend to continue.
For Die Werkself, this market has landed in six of their 16 fixtures in the top flight to date and given the attacking quality in both squads, I'll be surprised if this ends up a low-scoring affair.
Fisnik Asllani, Andrej Kramaric and Tim Lemperle have all provided six goals apiece for the home side in the Bundesliga, the same total for Leverkusen forward Patrick Schick, while teammate Alejandro Grimaldo has five for himself.
