Cheltenham (H) to beat Leicester (12:15, TNT Sports 1) @ 4/1

I’m starting with an FA Cup shock at a big price - because why not? Cheltenham Town host Leicester City in what should be a belting third-round tie, live in front of the television cameras. A glance at the League 2 table sees Cheltenham in 18th, but that doesn’t tell the true story of their season.

Michael Flynn was sacked with the club rock-bottom of the table, having won just one of their opening nine in the league. Since then, Steve Cotterill has returned, and they have massively improved, winning three of their last five, a run of results that has taken them out of relegation trouble.

Leicester are so hard to predict right now. They’ve been putting in poor performances for a while and were very fortunate to beat West Brom thanks to Abdul Fatawu’s late strike. With rotation likely, I think there’s a very real chance they slip up here.

Ipswich (H) to beat Blackpool @ 1/4

Unlike Leicester, Ipswich have the squad depth to make XI changes and still put out a very strong side. Kieran McKenna’s side will look slightly different from usual, but could still include Chuba Akpom, Jack Clarke, Jacob Greaves and Kasey McAteer.

That should be more than enough to get past a Blackpool outfit that have improved under Ian Evatt, but sit 18th in the third tier.

Cheltenham, Ipswich, Bradford, Cardiff & Crewe all to Win

Bradford (H) to beat Rotherham @ 8/13

To League 1 now, and Bradford City look well-set for a serious promotion push. They currently sit third, having won three of their last four games, and they are just five points away from leaders Cardiff.

They host a Rotherham outfit that is in terrible shape, having lost their last six straight league games and having failed to win in their last 10. Home win looks likely.

Cardiff (A) to beat Leyton Orient @ 9/10

Talking of the league leaders, Cardiff, they travel to Leyton Orient on Saturday looking to maintain their lead at the top. Brian Barry-Murphy’s men have looked really good this season, and have won three and drawn one of their last four, so I’d expect them to go to London and win.

Orient sit just one point above the bottom four, and they’ve lost four of their last five games - including each of their last three. The Bluebirds should be too strong on the road.

Crewe (H) to beat Harrogate @ 4/7

This is more about Harrogate being bad than Crewe being good, but the Railwaymen do sit 10th in League 2. Harrogate, meanwhile, are having a torrid time, and they are rooted to the bottom of the Football League, having won just 17 points from 19 games this term.

Simon Weaver has a big job on his hands to save them, and they’ve lost their last four in a row. I’ll back the home side in this one, which takes our acca to 33/1.
