Bournemouth vs Chelsea Prediction: Cherries’ blues to continue

AFC Bournemouth suffered their first home defeat of the season on Tuesday as Everton won 1-0 at the Vitality Stadium. The Cherries are in action again here on Saturday (15:00 GMT) when Chelsea make the trip to Dorset.
The Blues were also stunned in midweek as they lost 3-1 at struggling Leeds United. Below you will find my Bournemouth vs Chelsea predictions, aided by the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
Lewis Cook and Tyler Adams are unavailable for Bournemouth due to suspension. The latter has been a key figure in midfield this season so he will be a big miss on Saturday.
Ben Gannon-Doak is sidelined with a hamstring injury that is set to keep him out of action until February. Ryan Christie continues to recover from a knee issue but he could return before the year is out. Matai Akinmboni (muscle) is also ruled out.
The lack of midfield options poses a problem for boss Andoni Iraola here.
Moises Caicedo remains suspended for Chelsea, while Levi Colwill (ACL), Romeo Lavia (muscle) and Dario Essugo (fitness) are unavailable for selection.
After losing at Leeds, Enzo Maresca may consider making some changes for this next away trip. Pedro Neto scored in the defeat so he could be promoted from the bench, as could Cole Palmer, Alejandro Garnacho and Malo Gusto.
Bournemouth vs Chelsea Predicted Lineups
- Bournemouth: Petrovic; Smith, Milosavljevic, Diakite, Truffert; Scott, Tavernier; Adli, Kluivert, Semenyo; Evanilson
- Chelsea: Sanchez; James, Fofana, Chalobah, Cucurella; Gusto, Fernandez; Neto, Palmer, Garnacho; Pedro
Bournemouth have won four of their six home league games this term and they are 11/5 to snatch the victory here.
They recently drew with West Ham United here and the stalemate is valued at 13/5.
Chelsea are 6/5 (implied probability of 45.5%) to collect the three points, which they have accomplished in three of their previous four way contests in the top flight.
Neto has scored two goals in his last three league appearances for the visitors and he is 3/1 to strike anytime on Saturday.
Bournemouth vs Chelsea Stats
- Chelsea have won three of their last four away games in the PL
- Four of the Blues' league away trips have gone over 2.5 goals
Double Chance & BTTS - Draw or Chelsea & Yes @ 21/20
With four defeats in their last five outings in the Premier League, Bournemouth are going through a rough patch, and their injuries and suspensions won't help matters at the weekend.
Iraola has a conundrum in the middle of the park with Christie, Adams and Cook all unavailable, and this can play into Chelsea's hands as they look to bounce back at the first attempt after losing in midweek.
Maresca altered the team at Leeds and it didn't pay off, so he is likely going to go back to a similar XI that earned a hard-fought draw at home with 10 men against Arsenal last weekend.
The Blues recently enjoyed a three-game winning streak in the top flight before the past week's results and against a Cherries outfit that look lost right now, they should fancy themselves to get back on track.
That being said, Bournemouth have lost just once at the Vitality in the league so I think the insurance of a draw is a sensible play on Saturday. I've boosted the odds with BTTS - Yes, which has landed in four of the visitors' seven away trips in the Premier League in 2025/26.

Total Goals - Over 2.5 @ 4/6
Bournemouth's defence are struggling at the moment as they are without a clean sheet in their past five league fixtures. Chelsea have seen their back line breached in their previous two matches and their defence is not particularly convincing, either.
I have already predicted both teams to find the net, and I do believe there will be a few goals on offer here. Over 2.5 goals appeals because it has been a successful bet in three of Bournemouth's six league games at home, while this market struck on Chelsea's midweek trip to Leeds.
There have also been three goals scored in three of the last five meetings between the two clubs heading into Saturday's contest.
