Last year, the 3-3-3 column returned a profit of 17 points, which means that if you'd backed every treble recommended over the course of the season for level £10 stakes, you'd be up by £170. That's one of the better returns you'll see in the tipping business and speaking of returns, Jamie Pacheco is returning again this year to do try to do it all over again, and maybe even improve on it.
Welcome to the 3-3-3 betting column. Why is it called that? Glad you asked. It's not a formation to play when you've had a man sent off but rather:
3- The number of different selections making up the acca.
3- The number of different (non-English) European Leagues the selections are taken from every week.
3- The minimum odds (3/1) or 4.0 if you prefer, that the acca will come to it every week.
And it really is as simple as that. The selections can be from any betting markets, as long as they meet the criteria set out above. And to round things off, every week I'll leave you with a cool (or at least I think so) bit of trivia involving one of the teams featured in the acca. Simples...
- 2025-26 season Current P and L: +6.97 pts
- 2024-25 season's P and L: + 16.9
No joy last time out, no problem. We're still in extremely decent profit for the season. Not all of them are going to come good – that's just part of the game – the key stat being how we end up at the end of the campaign come May. At the moment, we're pretty confident it will be a pretty good result if the first third of the season is anything to go by, so let's try to build on that this weekend.
- Sevilla vs Real Betis
- Sunday 30th November 15:15
- Back both teams to score @ 4/6
Sevilla against Betis isn't just a fierce local derby; it's also a lovely opportunity to go for a BTTS punt in this match.
After all, five of Sevilla's last six matches at home have seen goals at both ends, while Betis have a barely believable record of all six of their away matches this campaign seeing both teams scoring, so they're hardly a boring team themselves. For the record, here are their results away from home this campaign: 1-1, 2-2, 1-2, 2-2, 1-1, and 1-1.
Yep, they don't die wondering, so let's hope there's more of the same here at 4/6.
- Roma vs Napoli
- Sunday 30th November 19:45
- Back 'No' on both teams to score 8/11
Regular readers of this column will know that Roma are a darling of ours in that they can be counted on for low-scoring matches. Time and time again, they rock up at Serie A games and produce just the sort of horribly mundane, unadventurous matches that we need them to. Good on them, when they do exactly what we need them to.
And they certainly do just that, given that they have an 83% strike rate when it comes to 'no' on BTTS at home and 66.7% away; make no mistake, this is a team who hates seeing goals at both ends.
As if Roma's record wasn't convincing enough, they have kindred spirits in Roma-based rivals Lazio, who have as much time for BTTS matches as Roma do: very little.
They've played six away matches this campaign, and they only scored in one of them; it ended 0-3, so they're 100% for 'no' on BTTS matches themselves.
A bore fest between these two at 8/11? Yes please.
- Porto vs Estoril
- Sunday 30th November 20:30
- Back Porto to win and over 1.5 goals @ 2/5
Porto have been excellent so far this season, proof of which is that they're top of the table in a very competitive Portuguese Superliga.
Of course, it helps when you've won 4/5 of your home games for the season so far, and that's the angle we're interested in here.
They're up against Estoril this weekend and not only do the stats suggest they'll win, but they also suggest we'll have at least two goals in the match.
There was something of a freak result two years ago - they lost 1-0 - but that's not in line with the general trend that has seen Porto win this fixture relatively easily in the past, because, just as an example, they emerged victorious from this fixture 4-0 at home last year. Let's hope there's more of the same.
Jamie's Fun Fact
The great Joaquin never really made the most of his undeniable talent with spells at Valencia, Malaga and Fiorentina not going quite as well as planned but he certainly made his mark at Betis, with almost 500 appearances to his name at the club over two spells, yielding just short of 50 goals, making him the Betis player with the most appearances to his name.
