Manchester United to win
I think we have to back the home side given the turnaround in form we have seen from Ruben Amorim’s men. They are unbeaten in their last five Premier League matches, drawing their last two 2-2, but you have to say they have looked vastly improved compared to the team we saw earlier in the campaign.
Everton have lost two of their last four and have won just once on the road - against bottom-of-the-table Wolves. I think United should secure another comfortable home win here.
Manchester United vs Everton Odds
Bryan Mbeumo to score
Bryan Mbeumo has been a stellar signing for Manchester United, and having scored 20 goals for Brentford last term, he’s now scored five goals in his opening 11 league appearances for his new side.
His recent form has been exceptional with four goals in his last four outings in the league, including the opener at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before the international break. He is by far United’s biggest threat right now, and should be able to continue his fine form even against an Everton defence that has been stingy this term, conceding 13 in 11 top-flight fixtures.
Manchester United vs Everton Bet Builder Stats
- Manchester United are unbeaten in their last five games
- Mbuemo has scored four goals in his last four games
- Iroegbunam has started four league games this season and been booked in every single one of them
Manchester United most corners
This isn’t a sexy pick, but it follows the pattern of the game I expect to see. United should have the majority of possession and pin Everton back, so I think they will edge the corner count. They got just three corners at Tottenham, scoring from that last-gasp one through Matthijs de Ligt, but I expect them to be far more dominant in this game.
Tim Iroegbunam to get booked
Let’s round off this Bet Builder by backing Everton midfielder Tim Iroegbunam to get booked. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is the most-booked Everton player but he hasn’t been booked in his last four outings, while Iroegbunam has four yellows to his name in far fewer minutes.
The really interesting stat that I want to focus on though is the fact that Iroegbunam has started four Premier League games this season and been booked in every single one of them. He should start here given he started in the win over Fulham - and that means he is a likely candidate to get booked. Our Bet Builder pays 6/1.
