Football Bet of the Day: Bodo/Glimt can show their attacking strength

There are just two matches remaining of the 2025 Elitserien season and defending champions Bodo/Glimt find themselves one point behind Viking FK at this stage. Bodo/Glimt travel to face KFUM at KFUM Arena on Friday (18:00) hoping to win and put pressure on the league leaders, who head to Fredrikstad on Sunday.

The hosts have won five of their 14 home matches in the league this season and they are 11/2 to win and dent Bodo/Glimt's title hopes.

The draw is marketed at 10/3, with KFUM drawing three of their past five Eliteserien fixtures.

Bodo/Glimt are the 2/5 favourites to win this clash as they boast the best away record in the division, which includes nine victories. They defeated KFUM 3-0 at home earlier in the season and they are 6/4 to win to nil on this occasion.

Because of that scoreline back in April, I think there is value to be had in backing the defending champions to win with a -1 handicap. They may have left it late in the reverse fixture, but they did strike three times to end up recording a comfortable scoreline.

In their 14 away trips in the top flight, Bodo/Glimt have won with a -1 handicap on five occasions, with the latest coming on October 18 as they defeated Sarpsborg 08 5-2.

Across the entire season (including their home fixtures) this has been a successful bet in 54% (15/28) of their matches.

Additionally, the visitors have scored 78 goals across their 28 fixtures this term, the highest tally in the division. This means that they are averaging around 2.8 goals per game.

The Superlaget have scored at least three goals on 14 occasions in the 2025 campaign, which amounts to half of their fixtures to date. They have already managed this against Friday's opponents, so we could see history repeat itself when they collide in Oslo.

KFUM don't have a great home record and they are coming up against the team with the best attacking stats in the league, so I am confident that Bodo/Glimt will be able to win this one by a comfortable margin.
