Football bet of the day

With Uefa Champions League and Championship football to look forward to on Tuesday I am not short of options for my latest Football Bet of the day. After success on Sunday, I'm hoping to follow up on Tuesday.

The Championship is where I have turned to on this occasion and the game in question sees Charlton Athletic host West Bromwich Albion (19:45 GMT, Sky Sports+) at The Valley. Check out my selection below.

Football Bet of the Day - Tuesday, November 4

Charlton vs West Brom Odds

Charlton have won three of their six home games in the league this term and they are 6/4 to beat Albion. The Addicks have drawn two games on home turf, with the latest coming against Swansea City last time out on Saturday. The stalemate is priced at 21/10.

West Brom have won three of their seven away trips in the Championship this season and they are 2/1 to come away with the three points on Tuesday night.

Four of the hosts' past six appearances in the second tier have gone under 2.5 goals, which is valued at 4/7.

Place a Match Result bet (Pre-Match) on the specified 2 Up Early Payout market in selected leagues, and if your team goes 2 goals ahead in the match, we’ll pay out your bet as a winner!

Based on current form, Charlton look good value to win this contest, but I am going one step further. My Football Bet of the Day is for them to win to nil, which they have accomplished on three occasions this campaign in the league - two of which have come at The Valley.

They were against Watford (1-0) on the opening day of the campaign, and Blackburn Rovers (3-0) in September. The Addicks have adjusted well to being back at this level following promotion via the League 1 play-offs in the summer, and their stadium has been where they have enjoyed most of their success.

Charlton have lost just one of their six league matches here in 2025/26 and that was a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Leicester City. They have won three and drawn the other two, making their home form one of the best in the division.

Football Bet of the Day Stats

  • Charlton have won two of their six home games to nil in the league
  • West Brom have failed to score in two of their past three away trips in the Championship

Boss Nathan Jones is making their ground a fortress and it is becoming increasingly difficult for opposing sides to come away with anything in this part of south east London.

The hosts are four games unbeaten heading into Tuesday's clash with West Brom, and they should fancy their chances against Albion because the visitors are not in the best shape right now.

The Baggies have lost three of their past five outings in the Championship, winning just once - and they are currently on a run of three games without a victory. Back-to-back defeats at Watford and Ipswich Town were followed by a goalless draw at home to struggling Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend - and it was a game in which Ryan Mason's side offered very little.

The West Brom boss is already facing backlash from the supporters, with some already suggesting that he is out of his depth in his first senior gig in management. The mood is currently very low in their camp and I think this can play right into Charlton's hands.

The 6/4 price for the home win looks the smartest play but the 11/4 for them to win to nil appeals because West Brom have failed to score in two of their last three fixtures, while Charlton have won and kept a clean sheet twice on home soil this season.

Albion have also blanked in two of their latest three road trips in the Championship (Millwall and Ipswich) and I can see this trend continuing in midweek at Charlton.
