They are already on their third permanent manager and the Christmas lights aren’t even up yet, as Nuno Espirito Santo and Ange Postecoglou have both been disposed of by Evangelos Marinakis. Dyche has stepped into the role and his side beat Porto in the Europa League, but they were well-beaten by Bournemouth in their last outing. 

That is certainly a winnable game for United, and we could see the hair trimmers being polished for the United Strand. The final piece of the puzzle will see United travel to face Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next Saturday (12:30, TNT Sports 1) and a win there would not only mean a haircut is due - but that United are serious contenders this season.
