Horse Racing Tips: Diamond to sparkle at Wolverhampton

There are six meetings scheduled across Britain and Ireland on Saturday, including the second of the two-day Showcase meeting at Cheltenham and the Futurity Trophy Stakes card from Doncaster - both of which are Premier Racedays.
There’s also some competitive supporting action on offer from Kelso, Newbury and Galway and Wolverhampton race late into the evening under the lights. Amongst our Saturday horse racing tips is one for trainer Tom Dascombe, who has progressed nicely through the year and is back in slightly calmer waters, having run well in a Group 3 last time.
Horse Racing Tips - Saturday, October 25

- 15:30 Cheltenham - Give It To Me Oj @ 4/6

14:00 Newbury - Senorita Vega @ 13/8
Tom Dascombe’s SENORITA VEGA has improved gradually over the course of the season and makes plenty of appeal in the Listed Radley Stakes at Newbury.
The daughter of Lucky Vega is the highest rated filly in the race with a mark of 97 and is deserving of that rating having finished third behind money spinner Calendar Girl in the Group 3 Oh So Sharp Stakes at Newmarket earlier this month - the winner following up her success in a £300,000 sales race at Doncaster the previous month.
The selection has already proven herself on a variety of underfoot conditions and is battle hardened, having had a total of eight starts this season whereas her two chief market rivals are far less experienced.
Dascombe won this race in 2018 with Iconic Choice.

15:30 Cheltenham - Give It To Me Oj @ 4/6
Gary and Josh Moore’s GIVE IT TO ME OJ signed off the last jumps season with an excellent victory in the valuable Novices’ Championship Final at Sandown in April and he’s remained in good form on the Flat since, winning back-to-back 1m4f handicaps at Epsom.
The four-year-old did very little wrong in six outings over hurdles last term, finishing a respectable distance behind subsequent Triumph Hurdler runner-up East India Docks on his debut at Wincanton and reeling off three wins, the last of them coming on his handicap debut off a mark of 137.
Fit from the Flat, he’s now up to 143, but races off level weights in this conditions event and will surely be hard to beat.

19:00 Wolverhampton - Diamond Bay @ 5/1
Tom Ward reached for first-time visor for DIAMOND BAY ahead of his run in this 0-95 handicap at Yarmouth last month and he ran with a good bit more promise than the bare result implies, having been done no favours by Ribble Vibe carrying him left and taking his ground around 2f from home.
That was effectively his winning chance gone, but he kept on nicely under a sympathetic ride from Jim Crowley to finish fourth, ahead of Ribble Vibe and within three lengths of the principals.
An eight-time winner, including five on the AW, he wasn't at his best at Salisbury last time, but he had valid excuses for that defeat and will appreciate both a return to 2m and the artificial surfaces.
