Paris FC vs Nantes Prediction: Visitors to break October barren run in front of goal

Newly-promoted Paris FC have made a solid start to the 2025/26 Ligue 1 season, as they sit 11th on 10 points after eight games, ahead of their Friday night fixture against strugglers FC Nantes (15th).
Below are my Paris FC vs Nantes predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds, ahead of Friday's game at the Stade Jean Bouin (19:45 BST, Ligue 1 Pass).

Team News
Pierre-Yves Hamel (hamstring), Julien Lopez (muscle), Thibault De Smet (thigh), Mathieu Cafaro (adductor) and Lohann Doucet (knock) could all miss out on Friday.
Nhoa Sangui came on at the beginning of the second half in last Sunday's 2-1 loss at RC Lens and could earn a start here.
As for Nantes, Francis Coquelin (hamstring), Fabian Centonze and Johann Lepenant (both knocks) may all be sidelined.
Paris FC vs Nantes Predicted Lineups
- Paris FC: Nkambadio; Traore, Chergui, Otavio, Sangui; M. Lopez, Lees-Melou, Camara; Kebbal, Geubbels, Simon
- Nantes: Lopes; Amian, Awaziem, Cozza, Leroux; Mwanga; Hyeok-kyu, Tabibou; Guirassy, Mohamed, Abline
Paris FC are 4/6 to claim a third home win of the season, implying a 60% probability of success, while Nantes are 4/1, or a 20% chance, to triumph on their travels for the first time this term.
The draw is priced at 3/1 and both teams to score at 4/5.
Paris FC vs Nantes Stats
- PAR have conceded 15 goals across eight Ligue 1 games
- PAR have only kept one clean sheet this term
- Amian (NAN) has been booked twice in 25/26
Both Teams To Score - Yes @ 4/5
Only Angers (four) have scored fewer Ligue 1 goals so far this season than Nantes (five), who have seen at least one team fail to score in six of their eight games, including their last two.
Despite this, I believe that BTTS-Yes could be a winning selection on Friday, and is worth backing at just under EVS.
Paris FC have conceded 15 goals across eight matches - only FC Metz (20), FC Lorient (19) and Le Havre (16) have shipped more - and have only kept one clean sheet after earning promotion to the top flight, admittedly in their last home outing against Lorient (2-0).
With Matthis Abline and Mostafa Mohamed, who scored nine and five Ligue 1 goals last season, in their forward line, Nantes possess players who can breach opposition defences - it's just a case of piecing the puzzle.

Player to Receive a Card - Kelvin Amian (NAN) @ 11/4
Nantes right-back Kelvin Amian is likely to be marking his former teammate, Moses Simon, in Paris on Friday. Simon averaged 1.6 fouls won per game in Ligue 1 last season before moving in the summer to Paris FC, where he is averaging 0.8 fouls won per game.
The 30-year-old has already drawn a card from an opponent this term, as he was taken down for FC Metz's right-sided defender Sadibou Sane's second bookable offence in Paris FC's 3-2 victory on August 31.
Amian, meanwhile, is averaging 1.1 fouls per game in France's top flight and has already received two yellows in 2025/26, which is 40% of last season's total (five). He may know Simon's game, but the same is true the other way, and if Simon runs at his marker multiple times on Friday, the likelihood is that he will get the better of the situation at least once or twice, and Amian could be forced to take alternative action to deal with him.
