Team News
Left-back Owen Beck is not expected back until next month, while Derby's new signing Rhian Brewster is nearing full fitness and likely to be assessed late.
Boss John Eustace also has concerns over Corey Blackett-Taylor, while Sondre Langas, Curtis Nelson and Kane Wilson are out.
Max Bird played over 30 minutes from the bench against Charlton and could be fit enough to make his first start of the season for Bristol City.
Rob Dickie came off the bench in that contest following his suspension and may now be in line for a start, while Joe Williams is back in training and will look to get into the matchday squad.
Derby vs Bristol City Stats
- Derby have shipped eight goals in two Championship games already
- Bristol City have won three of the previous four head to heads
- Three of the previous four meetings at Pride Park have gone over 2.5 goals
Visitors Bristol City have made a solid start and are 13/8 to get the win here and leave Derby stuck without a point. The Rams are 15/8 and the draw trades at 21/10.
Over 2.5 goals is priced at 5/4, while both teams to score comes in at 10/11.
Bristol City to win & Over 2.5 goals @ 10/3
The season is young but Derby are shipping goals at a worrying rate, with eight already conceded in two games.
The Rams twice came from behind against Coventry last weekend to be level at the break, and they led through Ebou Adams on 50 minutes, but the concession of three goals in seven minutes saw them defeated.
Bristol City fired four past Sheffield United on the opening weekend before coming up against a well organised Charlton side last Saturday as the game ended scoreless.
Given Derby's defensive deficiencies, Gerhard Struber and his visiting side are fancied to hit the goal trail again and win a contest featuring three or more goals, with four of Bristol City's last five Championship games having seen the back of the net hit on at least four occasions.

Ross McCrorie anytime goalscorer @ 15/2
Ross McCrorie scored five Championship goals in 25 appearances last season for Bristol City. It was a season interrupted by injury for the once-capped Scotland wide man and he ended it in good form, scoring four times in the Robins last seven games of the regular season.
He could be set to kick on this season. He netted a brace in the final pre-season warm up against Real Valladolid before producing a goal and an assist in the opening weekend thumping of Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
The 27-year-old is on a solid run of goalscoring form and should fancy his chances against this Derby defence.
