Kyogo Furuhashi - Blackburn Rovers vs Birmingham City @ 2/1
Our treble starts off in the second tier as ambitious Birmingham City head to Ewood Park to take on Blackburn Rovers. The Blues have impressed in their first two games of the season against Ipswich Town (league) and Sheffield United (Carabao Cup), and they will be looking to claim their first three points of the season against Rovers.
Their attacking quality is impressive, particularly summer addition Kyogo Furuhashi, who looks a real coup at this level. The Japanese forward was a prolific goalscorer at Celtic before a failed move to Rennes in January.
He has looked lively in his first two outings for the Blues - having a goal disallowed and hitting the post against Ipswich before opening his account against the Blades last time out.
It was a game in which he could've scored a hat-trick with the amount of chances he had. His movement is top-drawer for this level and I think he can find his way to goal again on the weekend.
Scott Twine - Bristol City vs Charlton Athletic @ 13/5
Bristol City delivered the performance of the weekend in the first round of Championship fixtures as they cruised to a 4-1 victory against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane. The Gerhard Struber era got off to a flying start as the Robins avenged their play-off semi-final defeat against the Blades.
Struber's men delivered the best team performance but they also had the best individual performance as Scott Twine stole the show in South Yorkshire. The attacker scored twice, one of the goals being a stunning free-kick, while teeing up Ross McCrorie to round off a wonderful free-flowing move.
Twine has all the attributes to be one of the best attackers in the division and that sublime performance should give him confidence ahead of Bristol City's first home league match of the campaign, which comes against newly-promoted Charlton Athletic.
I'm expecting Nathan Jones' side to give the Robins a much more competitive contest than Sheffield United but they will find Ashton Gate a difficult place to visit.
In my Championship predictions for the weekend, I've backed the Robins to make it two wins from two but I think this will be a game which they will be more reliant on individual brilliance - which Twine has in abundance.

Erling Haaland - Wolves vs Manchester City @ 8/11
After a poor 2024/24 season by their very high standards, Manchester City will be hoping to come back stronger this season. Pep Guardiola's side begin their Premier League campaign with a trip to Molinuex to face Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Citizens have won their past three opening fixtures in the top flight, and they will be looking to continue this trend when they face the Old Gold. Erling Haaland has played a starring role in every first game of the season since joining Man City three years ago.
At West Ham United he bagged a brace, before repeating the feat at Burnley a year later. Last year, he scored the opening goal as City defeated Chelsea 2-0, so I like his chances of getting on the scoresheet at Molineux.
The two-time Golden Boot winner may have felt less down last term, but many are expecting more ridiculous output from him this time around.
