Iceland Women and Finland Women kick off the Uefa Women's Euro 2025 tournament on Wednesday (17:00 BST, ITVX), as the Group A rivals face off against each other at Stockhorn Arena in Thun, Switzerland.
Below are my Iceland vs Finland predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
Cecilia Runarsdottir, who spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Inter Milan from Bayern Munich, is set to line up between the sticks for Iceland.
Bayern defender Glodis Viggosdottir, capped 137 times by her nation, will skipper Our Girls.
In midfield, Thorsteinn Halldorsson can call upon West Ham United's Dagny Brynjarsdottir, while Leicester City's Hlin Eiriksdottir is an option in attack.
Iceland vs Finland Stats
- Hlin Eiriksdottir (ICE) scored against Finland in 2019
- Under 2.5 total goals landed in six of Finland's 10 qualifiers
Finland's goal will be shielded by Servette's Tinja-Riikka Korpela, one of three centurions, alongside AC Milan defender Emma Koivisto and Vittsjo GIK attacker Linda Sallstrom, in Marko Saloranta's squad.
Sallstrom will captain the side, with further experience found in midfield, where Crystal Palace's Ria Oling and Como's Adelina Engman could line up.
Iceland's last victory over Finland came in June 2019, yet Our Girls are 5/6 favourites to kick their Euros campaign off with a victory on Wednesday, implying a 54.5% probability of success. The Boreal Owls, meanwhile, are 18/5, or a 21.7% chance, to claim all three points in their opening game.
The draw is priced at 5/2, both teams to score at 10/11, and over 2.5 total goals at 11/10.
Eiriksdottir (2/1) heads the anytime goalscorer market, followed by Brynjarsdottir (5/2), with both players on the scoresheet in Iceland's friendly win six years ago. Another Leicester forward, Jutta Rantala, is first up for Finland at 3/1.
Anytime Goalscorer - Hlin Eiriksdottir (ICE) @ 2/1
Eiriksdottir failed to score in last season's Women's Super League, although she made only eight appearances for the Foxes, who finished third-bottom.
The 25-year-old was more prolific for previous club Kristianstads in Sweden, though, netting 11 times in 29 league games, and has six goals for her country, one of which came against Finland six years ago.
Finnish eyes might be more on the new Angel City recruit, Sveindis Jane Jonsdottir, but whether Eiriksdottir starts or comes off the bench, she looks a solid shout in the anytime goalscorer market, with history on her side against Finland.

Total Goals - Under 2.5 @ 4/6
Under 2.5 goals was a winning selection in two of Iceland's six qualifiers, and four of their six Uefa Nations League matches earlier this year.
For Finland, it landed in six of their 10 qualifiers and four of their six Nations League matches.
At the last Euros, three years ago, Iceland played out a hat-trick of 1-1 draws as they finished third in Group D, behind France and Belgium.
Finland, meanwhile, suffered a couple of heavy defeats to Spain (1-4) and Germany (0-3), either side of a 1-0 loss to Denmark.
Given it's the opening fixture of the tournament, I wouldn't be surprised to see a few nerves on show in Thun, resulting in a low-key contest without much goalmouth action.
Backing under 2.5 total goals, then, might be the wisest move.
