Betfred Great Getaway Giveaway: Congratulations to our first two winners!

A huge congratulations are in order, to the first two winners of our Great Getaway Giveaway!

Our two lucky customers have won an £8,000 holiday voucher as well as £2,000 cash after placing Lotto bets in their local Betfred shops.

Peter Cross, from Torrisholme, Lancashire, was our first winner but he remains unsure of where to jet off to.

“I’m not sure yet, but I’ll be taking the Grandchildren away. I’ve got four grandkids and a great grandchild.

“First though, I need to get my passport sorted as it ran out during Covid!”

Peter’s main interest is usually horse racing but placed a Lotto bet after being told about the promotion by a member of staff.

“I’m mainly a horses punter and I'll sometimes play on the bingo, but the staff told me about the promotion and I thought I’d have a go on the numbers, and glad I did.

“It’s a great shop and community where everyone knows each other, just how it should be”.

Our second winner, Geraint Amos, thought his friend was winding him up when he received a text from him to say he’d won!

“I came off nights and woke up at 10am to a text from a friend saying I’d won. I thought it was a wind up at first!”

Geraint plans to take his partner away but also remains unsure on where they’ll settle on. The golfer inside of him knows where he wants to go back to, however!

“If it was just down to me, I’d go back to Augusta for the Masters as I went five years ago and that is spectacular.

“We went to Jamaica a couple of years ago and enjoyed it, so that is a possibility.”

Lottery Betting

Unlike Peter, Geraint is a regular Lotto player at Betfred, placing bets on the Irish lottery, New York and 49s, playing the same numbers every week.
