Nap of the Day: 10/3 Angel my best bet for Day 2 of Royal Ascot

I'm left frustrated after the Nap for the opening day of Royal Ascot, King's Gambit, could do no better than a fast-finishing third in the Wolferton Stakes having been given plenty to do from out the back, as was the case in the Hampton Court last year.
Hopefully there's no such stories with Wednesday's selection, who goes in the third race of the afternoon.

Eased in grade and back against her own sex, FALLEN ANGEL is tipped to land the Duke Of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot on Wednesday.
Karl Burke's four-year-old daughter of Too Darn Hot reappeared for the current season in the Lockinge Stakes, an open Group 1, at Newbury last month and finished sixth of eight, just under six lengths off the pace.
It was a fantastic renewal of the race won by Lead Artist (rated 120), who had Dancing Gemini (119), Rosallion (122 and runner-up in the Queen Anne on Tuesday) and Notable Speech (last year's 2000 Guineas winner rated 122 and fourth in the Queen Anne) in behind.
Fallen Angel is a horse who seems to need a run to get going, so I thought it was a fine effort in such company. Connections think as much, with Richard Brown - racing adviser to Wathnan Racing who purchased the Irish 1000 Guineas heroine last summer - telling AtTheRaces: "Her last piece of work was good and she has come fully in her coat now, which wasn't the case at Newbury, and last year we saw she got beat in the English Guineas before bouncing back to win in Ireland."
Newbury was the selection's sixth consecutive run at the highest level, since August 2023, so she ought to appreciate to drop into Group 2 company on Day 2 of Ascot's royal meeting.
If she can progress the amount she generally has in the past, and if the application of first-time cheekpieces can eke out further improvement, she's arguably the one to beat in this field of eight.
Her main dangers are Cinderella's Dream, who comes here on the back of a career-best victory in the G2 Betfred Dahlia Stakes on 1000 Guineas day, and One Look, an Irish raider whose form behind Porta Fortuna puts her bang in the mix.
Defending champion Running Lion is no back-number, nor is Soprano, but it's Fallen Angel with the standout claims as far as I'm concerned.
