France U21 vs Georgia U21 Prediction: Les Blueuets to win entertaining affair

France U21 have not had the success that one might expect in the U21 European Championships, given the returns of the senior team. 

Les Blueuets have only won this tournament once, in 1988, and have only gone beyond the quarter-finals once in the last nine editions. They played out a 0–0 stalemate with Portugal and now face Georgia, who squeezed past Poland 2-1 thanks to a last minute winner.

Georgia U21 are likely to field a similar team to the one that beat Poland, although Vasilios Gordeziani's late winner means he may be pushing to start. 

Five players picked up bookings in their first game, so the Crusaders will have to be more cautious. 

France U21 lacked an attacking spark against Portugal and Villarreal's Thierno Barry may come into the starting line-up as a result.

Plenty of their star players have been fast tracked to the senior team, yet they still have a healthy contingent including Tottenham pair Mathys Tel and Wilson Odobert. 

They beat England 5-3 in March and are fancied to record a win in which both teams score again here. 

Both teams have found the net in seven of Georgia U21's last nine games and while they are fancied to put up a fight, they could fall short against one of the tournament favourites.

Mathys Tel had a difficult loan spell at Spurs, but he is a player who retains plenty of talent and is the top scorer in this France U21 squad, netting five times for the team in 11 games. 

His tendency to take plenty of shots will stand him in good stead in this event and he could be the player to breach Georgia U21's defences.
