Lucky 15 Tips: Max Of Stars set to shine

There are four meetings in the UK on Tuesday with a variety of action as Lingfield and Wolverhampton host all-weather action, while there is a flat turf card from Leicester and a jumps meeting at Southwell.

16:00 Southwell - Max Of Stars @ 8/1  

MAX OF STARS looks like the best play anywhere on Tuesday. The five-year-old has been rated as high of 117 over hurdles and the mare was good enough to run second in a listed juvenile hurdle at Newbury in December 2023.

Clearly, some time has passed since that effort, but Max Of Stars ran well in a handicap off a mark of 115 last summer.

Ollie Pears, who has been in good form, has his charge down to a mark of 105 in a 0-105 handicap over two miles and this track and trip look ideal for the five-year-old.

Max Of Stars makes her second start after wind surgery, she ran with promise on the flat at Catterick last time out and that effort should set her up perfectly for a big run at Southwell.

17:00 Southwell - Aazza @ 9/4

AAZZA scored over course and distance two runs ago and the nine-year-old can strike again at Southwell in the staying handicap hurdle.

This track is ideal for Paul Robson’s charge, who stays extremely well, but who can sometimes hit a flat spot in his races.

Edward Austin takes off five pounds, which should help Aazza, who ran well when finished second under Ryan Mania at Bangor last month.

There are a bunch of out-of-form rivals in opposition and Aazza looks capable of going close in the 17:00 at Southwell.

18:30 Wolverhampton - Two B Tanned @ 2/1

TWO B TANNED is on a five-timer when she goes to post at Wolverhampton and the five-pound penalty for last week’s Leicester success is unlikely to stop the four-year-old.

Julie Camacho’s charge bolted up under jockey Tom Kiely-Marshall, who keeps the ride here and, if anything, the Leicester victory was the most impressive of her winning sequence.

Two B Tanned can make it five wins on the bounce this evening.

19:45 Lingfield - Glamorous Breeze @ 6/1

GLAMOROUS BREEZE got her head in front at Chepstow 13 days ago and the seven-year-old can follow up in Lingfield’s five-furlong handicap.

Christopher Mason’s charge had never won first time out before, but the mare struck in good style to erase that record at Chepstow and the trainer said the sprinter would come on for the run.

That bodes well for her prospects at Lingfield and there doesn’t look much in the way of credible opposition.
