Horse Racing Accumulator Big Win: Where there’s a Will …

Retired dock worker Dan is a past master when it comes to getting the upper hand ...
It wasn't a long session at the table for poker ace Dan Maunders.
It took just ten minutes to make his selections at Betfred to win a cool £60,298.
The 61-year-old grandad placed bets on five horses - Diamond Rain, Great Chieftain, Teroomm, Mgheera and Symbol of Honour; at the Betfred shop at Aldermoor Road, Southampton.
And he was spot on with with his Haydock Park fancies for a total outlay of £170 comprising 10x £10 trebles, 5x £10 four folds, and a £10 each-way accumulator. Top jockey Will Buick had a fabulous day too - he was on board four of them!
Dan, who won a similar amount when he was runner-up in the Battle of Malta poker competition last year, now intends to return to the Mediterranean island to go one better ... and also take in a poker competition in Barcelona.
He said: "I've already handed out £12,000 of my Betfred win to my four sons and some to my wife, of course. Some of the rest I'll spend travelling around Europe playing poker.
"I bet on the dogs and horses at Betfred where I've been a customer for forty-odd years. It took me ten minutes to make my Haydock selections just initially going for the same jockey, and another horse because I liked the name."
Betfred boss Fred Done said: "Dan, a loyal and popular customer of ours, is clearly on a roll. Congratulations on your big Betfred win and let's hope you keep your lucky streak going in Malta."
