Lucky 15 Tips: Handicap debutant Rahiebb one to note

Thursday is another busy day of racing action with six meetings across the UK and Ireland, headlined by day two of York's Dante meeting.
The action on the Knavesmire is joined by further Flat meetings at Salisbury and Kempton (AW), while they race over jumps at Perth, Fontwell and Clonmel. Below are my Lucky 15 tips for Thursday's action.
Lucky 15 Tips - Thursday, May 15
- 14:25 Salisbury – Media Mogul @ 5/4
- 17:25 York – Rahiebb @ 6/1
- 18:10 Fontwell – Mount Olympus @ 7/4
- 20:30 Kempton - Arctic Dawn @ 2/1
*odds correct at time of publication
14:25 Salisbury – Media Mogul @ 5/4
MEDIA MOGUL is a stayer of some potential and the Ed Walker-trained four-year-old can notch a hat-trick despite rising in class at Salisbury.
He didn't show much at trips around the mile on his first three starts but is improving all the time since his stamina was teased out.
He scored at Wolverhampton in March over 1m4f despite being a bit wayward in the finish and giving a few bumps to the second.
His turf debut followed at Redcar (1m6f, good to firm) last month and he won again despite coming on and off the bridle at various intervals. He needed every yard of the trip to get the verdict. He's 3lb higher now but the stable is in superb fettle and he may well keep progressing.
17:25 York – Rahiebb @ 6/1
Roger Varian scrapped plans to run RAHIEBB in the Derby Trial at Lingfield last weekend at the last minute as the conditions were deemed unsuitably fast.
Good ground is fine, and it shouldn't be rattling quick here, so the Frankel colt makes appeal on his handicap bow.
He scored authoritatively at Newcastle in a mile novice on his debut in March and has twice found one too strong under penalties since at the same track (1m2f) and Haydock (1m3½f, good).
He was worn down very late by a well-backed winner Opportunity last time and an opening mark of 90 is workable with Silvestre de Sousa's in the saddle.
18:10 Fontwell – Mount Olympus @ 7/4
The Alan King-trained MOUNT OLYMPUS produced easily his best effort over hurdles when second-best at Fakenham (2m, good to soft) in March.
That was his third go in this discipline, a first since February 2024, and his third start back after a wind operation.
He was asked to go after the front-running winner Dinofromberlais going to the final flight and got within a neck but just couldn't get by the market leader, with the pair a dozen lengths clear of everything else.
This slightly longer trip promises to suit and an opening mark of 102 looks fair, especially if he builds on that run after a short break.
20:30 Kempton - Arctic Dawn @ 2/1
To Kempton in the evening for the final selection with Daniel and Claire Kubler seeking to break the maiden tag with ARCTIC DAWN.
The gelded son of Blue Point has made the frame in four of his last five starts. All bar one of those runs came on an artificial surface.
He returned from 164 days off to finish a half-length second at Southwell over 7f last month, doing all his best work at the finish but just unable to peg back the winner Callianassa.
All told, he was conceding 13lb to the filly in that contest and they came clear to the tune of five lengths.
Now rated 2lb higher and with this extra furlong deemed suitable, Richard Kingscote's mount can gain compensation.
The odds can fluctuate between publishing our pieces and race-time. As a guide, a £0.50p win Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the prices, and assuming all four won, would return around £194.50 for your total £7.50 stake.
