Sevilla vs Las Palmas Prediction: Visitors could land a huge result

The relegation battle in La Liga heats up on Tuesday (20:30, Premier Sports 1) as Sevilla host Las Palmas at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. The hosts currently sit three points clear of the bottom three but they are winless in their last seven matches in the top flight.

Sevilla are able to call upon Jose Angel Carmona again following his suspension, but Tanguy Nianzou, Ruben Vargas and Akor Adams are unlikely to feature again due to injury.

Djibril Sow and Albert Sambi Lokonga were also missing in the latest defeat at Celta Vigo and they could sit out again, which would add to Sevilla's fitness woes at such a crunch stage of the campaign with survival on the line.

New head coach Joaquin Caparros may promote Isaac Romero and Suso to the starting lineup on Tuesday.

Las Palmas' Kirian Rodriguez remains unavailable for selection following the announcement that he had suffered a cancer relapse in February.

Their last two home games have ended in a stalemate, which was the same outcome when the two teams met in Gran Canaria on the opening day of the campaign. The draw is priced at 13/5, which has an implied probability of 27.8%.

Las Palmas have won two of their previous five fixtures heading into Tuesday, and they are 18/5 to come away with the three points.

I think there is value to be had in covering draw or Las Palmas on Tuesday in this huge six-pointer. Despite three defeats on the spin, the visitors did post back-to-back victories which included an impressive 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid.

There is work to be done if they are to avoid relegation in the final weeks of the campaign but they have a huge opportunity in Seville. The hosts are winless in eight and they haven't been making the most of their home games, having drawn in their past two attempts.

They came against fellow relegation-threatened side in Leganes and Alaves. The Rojiblancos have had excellent chances to pull themselves away from relegation danger but have only been able to escape with two points from those recent crunch clashes.

Las Palmas should fancy themselves to at least come away with a point on Tuesday but if they can deliver similar performances to the ones they gave at Getafe and against Atletico, they could land all three, which would pull Sevilla further into trouble.
