They go out eight times at Kempton on Wednesday for what should be a decent evening card on the AW in Surrey. The opener is an Apprentice Handicap over a mile at 17:28, and they run through to a 1m4f Handicap at 21:00.

It is worth noting that Betfred are paying out four places on the Handicap at 19:30 and three spots on the closer, while the 20:30 provides punters the chance to grab a free bet if their selection finishes second. Among our selection is a Charlie Hills filly who returns for her second run, while Rage of Thunder is an interesting inclusion in the penultimate contest.

Today's Horse Races

18:30 - Bee My Honey @ 7/2

There will be expectations for something special from Saguaro Blossom after she was given a go in last month's Nell Gwyn at Newmarket, while Ironist almost overcame an SP of 40/1 on the way to second here over this same 7f trip.

However, Hills' BEE MY HONEY was second on debut over 6f at Windsor last October and promises more now moved up in distance for this Maiden Fillies' Stakes.

Her dad was a multiple Group winner, while her dam's sire won the King's Stand at Royal Ascot and the Nunthorpe Stakes at York.

There is plenty to admire about Hills' three-year-old, and surely more to come from her.

20:30 - Rage of Thunder @ 5/1

A break could do RAGE OF THUNDER plenty of good as he returns for the first time since January for Gary and Josh Moore.

The three-year-old was third at this course over the same 6f trip on that occasion and the penultimate race on the card, of course featuring the Free Bet if 2nd offer, looks a great opportunity for his first win.

He was only a length-and-a-half back in January and resumes off the same mark.

The opposing Dr Ali was fourth that day and is one rival we know the selection can beat, while Thurso and Cheeky Stanley are also up for consideration.

However, the Moores' are obviously confident that Rage Of Thunder can do something, otherwise they wouldn't have brought him back, and 6f might be his trip after failing to impress over longer in previous efforts.

Horse Racing Odds

21:00 - Scarlet Moon @ 7/4

The last race at 21:00 is also attractive, given that Betfred are paying out three places, instead of two.

SCARLET MOON dead-heated for a victory at Southwell last month on his first outing since being gelded and can go again for Archie Watson.

Hollie Doyle was in the plate for his AW debut at Southwell, but Luke Morris returns to ride for the third time in what will be his mount's fifth career outing.

After some loose early runs, that victory in Nottinghamshire suggests the penny may have dropped now that he's been gelded and he has a real chance to follow up.

Competition is likely to come from Nobleman, whose rider claims 7lb, and comes in after a win at Wolverhampton last time out.

Scarlet Moon is the selection and Watson's 24% winning rate over the last fortnight suggests he will have him right.
