One of the modern highlights of the F1 calendar year comes our way this weekend as the roadshow heads to Miami. Oscar Piastri is targeting three wins in a row as he attempts to extend the 10-point lead he has over Lando Norris at the top of the drivers’ standings.

It’s all still to play for, and below you can find my Miami Grand Prix 2025 Predictions.

Max Verstappen to win the race @ 11/2

Now I’m feeling a little frivolous heading to the celebrity-drenched streets of Miami, and I think we could see something dramatic happening. I’m not just talking about Martin Burndle’s annual dressing down of David Beckham and DJ Khaled, although that is certainly something you don’t want to miss this weekend as F1’s greatest interviewer chases down some of the world's most famous people.

I’ve got a bit distracted with Blundle’s brilliance here, so let’s turn our attention back to the track. Now, I’m going against McLaren this weekend - honestly - for no good reason. We all know at this stage that they have the fastest car on the track and that Norris won here last year, so why am I going against both Piastri and Norris here?

Miami Grand Prix 2025 Odds

Well, in truth I think Piastri should be the favourite having won the last two races, but my pick for Sunday has been inspired by the predicted weather forecast. It’s set to be slightly cooler than normal in Miami, with temperatures of around 28C expected, and we know that the McLaren performs best at high temperatures.

But the main reason I’m going to back Max Verstappen to do something special is the fact that we are expecting rain on race day. There could even be thunderstorms ahead which would swing the pendulum back towards the reigning world champion. He’s got more experience than both McLaren drivers and he is the best racer when the rain starts to pour. We’ve also seen his Red Bull get closer to the Mclarens than we expected, as he finished just 2.8 seconds behind Piastri in Saudi Arabia, and he’s already won a race in Japan in 2025.

Max is a massive price to get the better of both McLarens this weekend. He’s won two of the three races to take place around this circuit so has previous form. Fingers crossed for plenty of rain.

Oliver Bearman to score points @ 100/30

I don’t think there is that much value in the rest of the field, so I’m going back to an old friend in Oliver Bearman. The Haas driver has performed well this term and although he disappointed last time out with a 13th place finish, he has shown an impressive level of consistency this season.

He finished 10th three times in a row before his last outing, while he has now finished in the points in five of his eight Grands Prix in total. When we compare those stats, and an improving driver, with the rest of the pack, I believe his odds of 100/30 are slightly bloated. That smells likes value to me, so let’s back Bearman once again.
