Celtic are the newly crowned Premiership champions and celebrate with a visit to Ibrox in Sunday’s OId Firm Derby. You can follow an in-depth preview of Rangers vs Celtic at Betfred Insights, with an exciting goal-fest expected.

Focusing on the pick of Saturday’s fixtures, we return with our Scottish accumulator. Betfred’s Frank Monkhouse previews the action, picking three teams worth following. A champion was confirmed last weekend, but there’s still all to play for as we enjoy a grandstand finish. Here’s the case for the Jambos, Dons and Hibees for my Saturday Football Accumulator Tips this weekend...

Saturday Football Accumulator Tips

  • Hibs beat Dundee Utd @ 8/11
  • Hearts beat Ross County @ 19/20
  • Aberdeen beat St Mirren @ 9/5

Hibs beat Dundee Utd

We open the show at Easter Road with the one home win from our Saturday treble. The Hibees are in a great position, pulling themselves from the bottom of the league into a top-six finish. The locals are currently third in the division with 53 points on the board and plan to end as the best of the rest behind the Old Firm. But they’re level on points with Aberdeen in fourth and sit just three points above the visitors.

The head-to-head stats show Hibs won 3-1 at Tannadice when last facing the Terrors, and they’re good enough to repeat the feat. The stats suggest we’ll enjoy plenty of goals in this game, but with the bronze medal still up for grabs, I’m happy to go with home comforts. There’s confidence in the camp, and the odds make a home win ideally suited to our acca.

Hearts beat Ross County

Moving to the first of our two away wins this weekend, and we’re taking another team from the capital to boost their tally by three points. Hearts missed out on a top-six finish and know they only have themselves to blame. It has been a rollercoaster season for followers of the Jambos, but Saturday is an ideal chance to add a 12th win, putting pressure on Motherwell for seventh place.

Hearts travel to Dingwall to play a Ross County team that’s second from the bottom of the league, with only relegated St Johnstone beneath them in the pecking order. The Staggies have won only nine games all season and have already conceded 58 goals. Hearts beat County 2-0 at Tynecastle last time, stretching their unbeaten record in the fixture to three.

Aberdeen beat St Mirren

Our final pick of three from an explosive afternoon in the Scottish Premiership sees us pick Aberdeen to win in Paisley. The Dons are one of three teams involved in the race for third place, with just three points the difference between Hibs, Aberdeen and Dundee United. That means the points matter more to a Dons side than a Saints team that will end sixth, regardless of how they perform in what’s left of the campaign.

Aberdeen have shown followers and bettors they’re far from reliable this season, while St Mirren is a team that shouldn’t be taken lightly. But the Dons have better recent form, and that’s worth having onside at this late stage. The away win won’t come easily for Aberdeen, and they’ll be pushed hard by a proud host, but I’m picking the Dons to edge it.
