Lucky 15 Tips: Derek can once again show his class in Ireland

It's Day Two of the Punchestown Festival, and the destination once again of choice for our Lucky 15 tips on Wednesday, April 30.
We've nearly chalked off another month, and with many enjoying some gorgeous weather right now there's plenty to be optimistic about as we sail into the summer in some style (cue endless showers, and a quick hurricane or three ...)
Lucky 15 Tips - Wednesday, April 30
Punchestown
15:05 Downmexicoway @ 6/1
Darragh O'Keefe rides this seven-year-old gelding for the mighty Henry de Bromhead, as he has on a couple of previous occasions.
Downmexicoway is very well treated by the conditions of this race, achieving a rating of 133 (best in the field who have one - that's 14 of the 16 runners).
After winning a point for original trainer Peter Fahey in February 2023 he's been sparingly raced with just five runs under rules. Went close in a Galway maiden and then struck in a similar heat at Down Royal in December, very easily - and last time just over three weeks ago was a fairly distant seventh (14l) in a Grade 2.
Should have put him spot on for this, for his elite yard.
16:15 - Honesty Policy @ 9/4
JP's famous green and gold are to the fore, Mark Walsh is on board, and Gordon Elliott trains.
Honesty Policy is a five-year-old Jukebox Jury gelding fresh from a triumph in the Turners Mersey Novices' at the Festival. We've see some massive upsets already on Day One so we're not taking anything for granted, but this one achieved a huge career-best at Chelters and hopefully there's plenty more to come.
Has a bit to find on official marks with Jasmine De Vaux but I think he might be capable of just that.
16:50 - Colcannon @ 7/2
When I see the name Mr D. O'Connor against one at these huge events I make a series of assumptions - the main ones being I believe it must be well-fancied; and that I'm probably on the best jockey in the race.
It's a game of opinions - but I really rate this fella, as regular readers will know. Rides for some big owners (JP notably), and stellar yards. He's on a bumper horse of Noel Meade's here that Derek has won on the last twice, impressively, and he arrives a fresh five-year-old gelding that's been ticking over since his last appearance in February.
Could and should be more to come from Colcannon and has the Festival heroine Bambino Fever among others to silence tonight. Eminently capable of doing just that.
17:30 - Spillane's Tower @ 5/2
Here's another who likes it here and is fresh, having swerved the big spring tests thus far.
Spillane's Tower ran a blinder in the Champion Novice chase on this card 12 months ago, beating Monty's Star narrowly. He's run only twice since - close up behind Fact To File in November, and a distant fifth behind Banbridge in the King George on Boxing Day.
Lightly-raced then, that patience can be rewarded in this huge contest in terms of prestige and intrigue if perhaps not numerically, with Galopin Des Champs, Monty's Star and Banbridge all opposing.
Green and gold once more - here's hoping it's a good day for JP as well as for us!
This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!
The odds can fluctuate between publishing our pieces and race-time. As a guide, a £0.50p win Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the prices, and assuming all four won, would return around £420 for your total £7.50 stake.
