Bournemouth vs Manchester United Prediction: Cherries to do double over Red Devils

Manchester United will be bidding to win a Premier League game for the first time since March 16 when they travel to the Vitality Stadium to take on Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon (14:00, live on Sky Sports Main Event).
Ruben Amorim's men have lost three of their last four in England's top flight, although they'll have one eye on Thursday's Europa League semi-final first leg against Athletic Club. The Cherries are also struggling domestically, winning just one of their last four matches. Read on for my Bournemouth vs Manchester United predictions, as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
The Cherries will be without long-term absentees Enes Unal and Ryan Christie after their respective surgeries.
Luis Sinisterra is a doubt as Andoni Iraola continues to monitor his recovery after a campaign plagued by injuries. However, Justin Kluivert returned to proceedings last time out against Crystal Palace, so he could retain his place in the starting XI here.
Marcos Senesi and Lewis Cook dropped to the bench against the Eagles but could be handed starting berths against the Red Devils, while Evanilson is expected to lead the line.
Bournemouth vs Manchester United Stats
- Bournemouth are on a three-game unbeaten run
- Only Everton (7) have failed to score in more Premier League away games than Manchester United (6) this term
United's injury list remains extensive, and Amorim will be hoping that his team emerge unscathed from the Vitality with Thursday's Europa League semi-final first leg rapidly approaching.
Lisandro Martinez is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of 2025 after suffering a knee injury against Crystal Palace, while Altay Bayindir missed out against Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend due to an issue that he sustained in training.
Amad Diallo and Ayden Heaven are both major doubts and Matthijs de Ligt has missed United's last five matches with a foot problem.
Joshua Zirkzee will miss the rest of the 2024/25 campaign due to the hamstring injury he sustained against Newcastle United on April 13.
Bournemouth vs Manchester United Odds
The Cherries are 7/10 favourites for Sunday's encounter, giving them an implied win probability of 58.8%, while the draw is 3/1 and United can be backed at 4/1.
Evanilson is favourite to score anytime at 6/4, and Bruno Fernandes is the shortest-priced for the visitors at 11/4.
Bournemouth to win @ 7/10
I'm finding it difficult to oppose the Betfred traders here, who are backing the Cherries to do their first season double over Manchester United.
Bournemouth are on a three-game unbeaten run, despite their inconsistent form, while United have seemingly abandoned their Premier League duties to focus on their European commitments.
With United having one eye on Thursday night, it's easy to see Bournemouth claiming all three points here - especially given the Red Devils' lack of quality in attack this term.

Both teams to score - no @ 6/5
I do believe goals could be at a premium at the Vitality this weekend, and I'm banking on United's front line to fire more blanks.
Rasmus Hojlund's struggles in front of goal are well-documented, and both teams have scored in just 14 of United’s 33 league fixtures this season, while their top-flight matches are averaging just 2.55 goals per game – only Everton’s (2.24) are averaging fewer.
The Red Devils failed to find the net again in their most recent outing against Wolves so backing both teams not to score could be the way to go this weekend.
