Beauport Grand National Odds 2025: Could he be Nigel Twiston-Davies’ third winner?

I’m not going to bury the headline in the introduction. Beauport is a legitimate contender for Saturday’s big race at Aintree and he could go off at a very enticing price.
Let’s look at the Grand National Odds of Beauport and why he might be the one to back as we delve into his horse profile and recent form…

What are we looking for when picking a horse to win the Grand National? Well, the first thing is the ability to go the distance. Beauport has consistently gone well over three miles in his career and has often shown that he still has something extra to give in the flat towards the line. So stamina looks good and not much of an issue.
Recent form is often something we look at closely. Well, this season he’s won once, finished runner-up, and ended up third in his three races. So he’s placed every time he’s set hoof on the track in the past few months. That is also a good sign. The win at Ascot was highly impressive as he galloped on strongly towards the line. Safe to say that he’s looked good in recent times.
What he isn’t is the most fluent jumper, but the softer fences of the Aintree Grand National course should suit. This is arguably his biggest issue, but that will be migrated somewhat on Saturday.
Lastly, he is trained by someone who has tasted victory here twice before - albeit 23 and 27 years ago. Nigel Twiston-Davies has been a very good trainer for many a year, but those Grand National victories with Bindaree and Earth Summit seem a long time ago.
Beauport has every opportunity of ending that barren run in this most famous of races. This nine-year-old has stamina, tactical nous, and the Aintree fences really should suit. Undoubtedly one of the strongest each-way plays for me, and I wouldn’t be shocked to see his price come in even further from the opening price as punters lump on.
