The penultimate event of the Snooker season this week as the top-12 players on the one-year list head to Manchester for the Tour Championship.

Tour Championship Snooker Odds
With no tournaments in between the Players and Tour Championship this season the draw has ended up pretty much identical to last week's Players Championship with the exception of the top-four players receiving byes into the quarter-final instead of playing the players ranked 13-16th.
This will be the seventh edition of this event with Neil Robertson the only two-time winner and Mark Williams the defending champion following a very impressive run last year beating Trump, Allen and O’Sullivan.
2pts - Kyren Wilson to win Outright @ 7/2
It’s tough to look past Kyren Wilson at the moment, he’s simply the best player in the World at the moment and he showed that last week beating Allen, Williams, Robertson and Trump to win the Players Championship.
That was the fourth ranking event win this season for the current World Champion and he’s also reached an additional two non-ranking finals, including the Masters in January.
There’s a good chance he could face the same route to the trophy this week and with this event being best of 19 throughout it’s going to be tough for anybody to beat him.
It’s often been the case in the past that the winner of the Players Championship has gone of to win the Tour Championship too, this has happened in three of the six years of this format so far with O’Sullivan, Robertson and Murphy all achieving this feat.

1pt - Shaun Murphy to win Outright @ 14/1
From the other half of the draw I’ll again back Shaun Murphy.
Murphy is always a danger in these kind of events and tends to thrive under the bigger occasions.
He’s only actually qualified for this event twice previously, first time losing out to Mark Allen in a decider and then two years ago winning the event with wins over Milkins, Selby and Kyren Wilson.
Plays Hawkins in his opener to try and earn a quarter-final match against Trump and he did lose 6-0 to Trump last week but he has beaten Trump in big events before, including their most recent World Championship match and Trump does have a poor record in this event, hasn’t won a match here since 2020 losing his last 3 matches 10-7, 10-6 and 10-4.

1pt - Wu Yize to win Quarter 2 @ 5/1
Quarter 2 looks very close and I wouldn’t be surprised to see any of the three players come through but at odds of 5/1 Wu Yize looks the value pick to me.
Yize is a 21-year-old with huge potential and enjoying his best ever season with 2 ranking event finals, a semi and a quarter to reach 22nd in the World Rankings and qualifies for this event for the first time.
He faces Guodong first up for the third time this season, with Yize beating his compatriot 6-4 in the Scottish Open semi-final in December before losing a close match against him last week in a deciding frame.
If he gets past Guodong he’ll face Higgins, only met Higgins once previously and that was six years ago when he was just 15 and he still forced a decider in that one too.
Expecting two close matches in this section and happy to back Wu Yize as the outsider.
