Leeds vs Sunderland Prediction: Black Cats could prove tough opponents for Leeds

Leeds host Sunderland at Elland Road in the only EFL fixture on Monday night, looking to return to the top of the Championship table (20:00 kick-off). Sheffield United's 1-0 win at Luton on Saturday was their fourth in a row and saw the Blades move one point ahead of Daniel Farke's side having played one game more.
Leeds are in fantastic form having won five of their last six games and drawn with promotion rivals Burnley in the other match. Sunderland start the day fourth in the table and only seven points behind Leeds and they took a point in the teams' first meeting of the season when drawing 2-2 at the Stadium of Light in October.
Leeds vs Sunderland Betting Tips
Team news
Leeds will not be able to call on defender Max Wober due to a knee injury. Striker Patrick Bamford will also miss the game, although he is nearing a return from a hamstring issue.
Former Leeds winger Ian Poveda is set to return for Sunderland after being left out against Luton for disciplinary reasons. Alan Browne and Chris Rigg should be fit but Romain Mundle and Tommy Watson are doubts, while Ajibola Alese, Niall Huggins and Jayden Danns are longer-term absentees.
Match Odds, Leeds vs Sunderland
Leeds are 4/7 favourites at home, while Sunderland are available at 11/2 and the draw is priced at 3/1.
Over 2.5 goals is on offer at 10/11, with the same odds for under 2.5, while it's 1/1 that both teams score in the match and 4/5 that at least one team fails to get on the scoresheet.
Sunderland or draw double chance @ 7/5
Leeds are right on track to return to the Premier League, unbeaten in 14 Championship games, and they have scored 18 times since they last conceded a league goal.
They have a tricky stretch ahead of them, though, with a top-of-the-table contest against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane coming up next Monday, and fourth-placed Sunderland are also capable of giving them a thorough test.
The visitors have not lost in 90 minutes in any of their last nine fixtures. They went down in extra-time to Stoke in the FA Cup, but Leeds also went out in the fourth round when losing 2-0 to Millwall with a much-changed team.
Sunderland have lost only four of their 32 league matches and they have scored at least twice in their last four outings, including a 3-2 away win at Middlesbrough.
Leeds are in sensational league form but their odds are cramped and backing Sunderland to either win or draw has more appeal.

Wilson Isidor anytime goalscorer @ 100/30
Both teams have in-form strikers with Joel Piroe scoring four times in his last three league games for Leeds and Wilson Isidor the man to watch for Sunderland.
The French forward has notched in three of his last four league outings, against Plymouth, Middlesbrough and Luton, and now has struck six times in his last 10 games.
Isidor has signed a permanent deal with the Wearside club after originally joining from Zenit St Petersburg on a season-long loan and while Leeds have conceded only seven goals in 16 home league games, Sunderland have scored nine times in their last four matches and Isidor could add to that tally.
