Everton vs bournemouth

Everton will host Bournemouth in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon (15:00), with the Toffees hoping to take advantage of home comforts.

The Cherries were 3-2 winners at Goodison Park back in August, after coming from 2-0 down to win 3-2, scoring all three goals after the 87th-minute mark. Read on for my Everton vs Bournemouth prediction, as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Team News

With the final-ever Merseyside derby at Goodison Park looming on Wednesday, David Moyes may opt to rotate his side here.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Armando Broja and Youssef Chermiti are all out injured, meaning that Beto will no doubt start in attack. Dwight McNeil also remains absent, but James Garner and Tim Iroegbunam have recently returned from their respective injuries.

Carlos Alcaraz could make his debut this weekend after arriving from Flamengo on loan, and Iliman Ndiaye will lead the line after scoring in each of his last three appearances.

As for the Cherries, they'll be without the services of Julian Araujo, James Hill and Adam Smith, while Max Aarons joined Valencia on loan before the transfer deadline passed.

In attack, Evanilson and Enes Unal are both absent alongside Luis Sinisterra and Alex Scott.

Everton vs Bournemouth Odds

In 90 minutes, Everton are 15/8 to win, giving them an implied win probability of 34.8%, with the draw 5/2 and a Bournemouth win 11/8.

The Toffees are 1/1 to win the tie, while Bournemouth are slightly favoured to prevail to the next round at 8/11.

Justin Kluivert leads the anytime goalscorer market at 9/5, while Ndiaye is shortest-priced for the hosts at 15/8.

Everton to win in 90 minutes @ 15/8

Everton and Bournemouth are two sides that are both in great form heading into the weekend's contest, but I'm siding with a home win inside 90 minutes on Saturday.

Moyes has sprinkled his magic on this Toffees team, and they've now won four of their last five across all competitions, including their last three on the spin. That run of form has seen them pull nine points clear of the drop zone, and right now they'll feel that they can go far in this competition.

Bournemouth are a dangerous outfit, as demonstrated by recent big wins over Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest, but I struggle to see the Cherries beating Everton for a third time this season.

The Toffees will of course want to make amends for the collapse they suffered the last time these two met at Goodison Park, where Bournemouth scored three goals after the 87th minute to win 3-2.

I think Everton look to be in a better place now compared to the two meetings with Bournemouth in the Premier League and are playing with more confidence, so I'm backing them to keep up their recent form.

Antoine Semenyo to score anytime @ 13/5

Antoine Semenyo has scored three in Bournemouth's last five games and will pose a threat to the Toffees on Saturday.

The Ghana international has 12 goal involvements (eight goals and four assists) in 25 appearances across all competitions for the Cherries this term, which includes a goal and an assist in the victory over West Bromwich Albion in the previous round of this tournament.

The 25-year-old's previous two away strikes came at Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge, and he scored in the league fixture against Everton at Goodison back in August.

At 13/5, I think Semenyo is a decent price to score on Saturday on Merseyside.
