Stockport vs Shrewsbury Prediction: Goals look set to flow

After a lean spell, Stockport County have steadied things in their pursuit of League 1 promotion with successive victories over Reading and Crawley and they will start a warm order to overcome the challenge of basement boys Shrewsbury. The Hatters sit fifth, although they are 11 points adrift of the automatic promotion places and can ill-afford too many slip ups if they are to make their presence felt on the top two.
Shrewsbury, in stark contrast, find themselves bottom of League 1 and they are seven points adrift of safety after Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Charlton. They travel to Edgeley Park on Tuesday (19:45, Sky Sports+) to take on Stockport.

Team News
Stockport are expected to name a similar starting XI to the side that beat Crawley 2-0 on Saturday, with Kyle Wootton and Isaac Olaofe likely to lead the attack and goalscorer Will Collar in behind.
Shrewsbury could be forced into a change defensively with centre-back Toto Nsiala forced off due to injury in Saturday's defeat at Charlton, which could see George Nurse drafted in as his replacement.
George Lloyd and John Marquis are expected to start up front for the Shrews, with attacking midfielder Leo Castledine offering some vital support in behind.
Stockport are 4/9 to make it three league wins on the spin at the expense of Shrewsbury, who are 6/1 to spring a surprise. The draw is priced at 10/3.
Both teams to score, which has occurred in eight of Shrewsbury's last 11 league matches, is available to back at 11/10.
Both teams to score @ 11/10
Push is coming to shove for Shrewsbury in their battle to beat the drop in League One but performances have improved since Gareth Ainsworth's appointment as manager in November and they may make their presence felt at Stockport.
The Shrews have lost only two of their last seven league games and that run includes a 2-1 win at home to third-placed Wrexham as well as hard-fought draws away at Wigan and Blackpool.
So while the current league positions suggest a huge gulf in class, there may not be much between them on recent form and goals for both sides looks a value play at odds-against.
Both teams have scored in eight of Shrewsbury's last 11 league matches, which includes shock wins over leaders Birmingham and Wrexham, while high-flying Stockport have kept just one clean sheet in their last 10 fixtures in all competitions.

Isaac Olaofe anytime goalscorer @ 7/4
With top scorer Louie Barry having been recalled by parent club Aston Villa recently, Stockport need someone to pick up his goalscoring burden and Isaac Olaofe will be one of the players that manager Dave Challinor is looking upon to step up.
With Kyle Wootton without a league goal since November, Olaofe may carry Stockport's greatest threat against the Shrews and he was on target in their 3-1 win at Reading two outings ago.
The 25-year-old has seven goals in 30 appearances this season and his pace and power is going to be a constant threat to struggling Shrewsbury, who have won only one of their 13 away league games this season.
