Saturday Greyhounds Tips: Two picks for late at Monmore

Our resident Greyhounds tipster Trap2Line returns to with a couple of Saturday selections late in the day from Monmore

As always he gives us his thoughts and reasons behind his chosen dogs as we get into his Saturday Greyhounds Tips...

T5 (Bombay Nutty) 20:13 Monmore

Steeps into unknown territory this evening, 500m up to 630m, trialled in last week over the course but over 480m and recorded a respectable 28.50 off a slow break, what I did notice while watching the trial the further we went the quicker we was getting. Case in point have been this dogs runs over the 500m trip at Towcester, in all those races the comments were run on and finished well so to me this is a perfect time to step up and try the 6 bends.

How I see this race going tonight, for the ones that have already been over the trio their finishing times aren't anything special and this trip to us could be the making of us. T1 tried the 630m last week, yes was crowded a couple of times but a finishing time of over 39 seconds is a graded time not open race class.

T2 again brings Towcester form to the table and will have early pace looking at 500m spilts, maybe dangerous if getting out on the bunny, but from what I've seen live 500m is as far as he wants to go.

T3 will be heading to the rails so will crowd the inside runners, again stepping up in trip but 4 bend form nothing to really shout about, T4 is a solid local and we will have to be on our toes at trap wise to miss T4 at the bend, T6 unknown Newcastle raider, no course form and overall form will mean is the outsider tonight. I have put us up as a max bet as I can see us winning this by multiple lengths with a strong running performance

T2 (Gary the arb) 21:23 Monmore

Returns here after some solid runs at hove and Romford and tonight's make up of the race looks ideal, overall this is a step-down from top open company to mediocre open company and we can easily land this before going on to better things.

How I see this race going tonight, the good thing for us is we have a sprinter in T1 so that will break and clear away early, giving us a running lane in behind to follow for the majority of the race, we haven't got the early on T1 but we are much much stronger having 6 bend form in the book.

Danger could come from the outside if he is fully wound up after a lay-off because T6 does have a good draw being the solo wide seed as T5 edges in on the run-up. But I see this race as T1 leads, we track the pace and take it up rounding final few bends to win the race going away
