Our resident Greyhounds tipster Trap2Line returns to finish the week with a couple of selections.

Greyhounds Tips - Friday, January 17

Returns to the track this evening after last week's meeting got abandoned. Yes, we have been off the card a while but has shown in three trials here we are none the worse for the lay-off and we recorded one of the quickest 480m trials I have ever seen at Nottingham on December 30.

How I see tonight's race going: We can quickly master T2 on the run-up as that runner is notoriously slowly into stride. The danger I feel could come from T3 if they are able to get first run on us, but I can't see that happening from the videos and trials I have watched and this extended run to the bend will help us more than T3 tonight. T4 will be edging into T3 early in this and did go off very short for a maiden open on December 16, recording a respectable time in the process but looking at the make up of this race I can only see trouble. T5 is outgraded in this and T6 will struggle to clear the pace inside. All things point to us to turn handy, rail the field off at the first bend and go on to win well.

Semi-final tonight and we have fared well on the draw. Second last week after being crowded the majority of the race and looking at today’s line-up I see a much better and clearer run for us early on in this which will be key to our chances.

How I see the race going: T4 I feel sets the race up for us as that will be turning left as soon as the traps open and will be moving across to the rails as T4 is an unfamiliar draw for a railer, so that will mean crowding for the inside runners. In T5, we should have a dream run if we can lead T6, on all form we have better splits than T6 and can quickly master that one. If we miss the break though T6 will also be edging across, had we drawn T6 it would be a max bet for me but I still think we are pretty solid and overall times should come out on top.
