Lucky 15 Tips: Four to watch from Wolverhampton

It's high time we visited Dunstall Park again, on the Tapeta, so for Friday December 20 our Lucky 15 tips will be selected from Wolverhampton's nine-race late afternoon/early evening card.
Rossa Ryan looks to have some very bright chances and I'll be very surprised if he's not among the winners. The action kicks in at 16:30.
Lucky 15 Tips - Friday, December 20
Wolverhampton
17:00 - Fernando @ 7/4
Let's hope we can hear the drums of victory for this two-year-old gelded son of Dark Angel at soon after five on Friday.
Fernando is with trainer Ed Walker at Upper Lambourn, and will be ridden by George Downing. He was on top last time out, 29 days ago in a Southwell nursery, failing by just a nose to do the business.
Five career starts so far; and on number four he won one of these at Yarmouth, off 65. He races off a mark of 72 today, but the profile is progressive and with a little more improvement, surely highly likely, he can go in again.
Tried to make all last time and if repeating the tactic here is ideally drawn in box one.
17:30 - Mehmas Shy Angel @ 15/8
Rossa Ryan teams up with Richard Hughes - brilliant Grade 1-winning jockeys of different generations, with Hughesy now a successful, trainer.
Mehmas Shy Angel is a two-year-old filly by Group 2-winning sprinter Mehmas, and has just one run to date under her belt, at Kempton 16 days ago. She ran green, understandably, but was doing her best work in the latter stages before going under by 4l.
The winner was Sand Gazelle, a Frankel filly with the Gosdens, so it might have been a decent heat. It was in any event a sterling effort and she showed real promise. The booking of Rossa speaks well and her jockey from that opening effort, Sean Levey, is claimed by his retained yard (Richard Hannon) for likely unraced favourite Left Over Love.
Could be very informative, and I'm counting on Rossa to continue her education with a win tonight.
18:30 - Rosenpur @ 11/4
Staffordshire trainer Jennie Candlish is in terrific form (26% strike-rate in the last fortnight), and handles this four-year-old gelding by Derby winner Pour Moi from her Basford Green, Staffordshire base.
Rosenpur missed out by a nose here 11 days ago, same trip/grade, and tries to go one better off the same mark of 58. This one for me has become dangerously well-handicapped, and it's a matter of when and not if in my book.
George Wood, on board last time, again has the riding assignment. A modest affair, but a horse and trainer very much on-song at the minute.
20:00 - Eagle Day @ 2/1
Rossa Ryan once again, this time for Welsh trainer David Evans, and not for the first time.
Eagle Day is a four-year-old Kodiac gelding who, dropped in class, scooted home here 11 days ago by 5.5l. The mean old handicapper has had their say and a 5lb penalty must be shrugged off if another win is to be secured.
The trainer was quizzed by the stewards last time as to the apparent improvement in form and could offer no explanation. He'll need another stellar performance and then some to take this but it might just be within his compass, especially with Rossa doing the pushing.
This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!
The odds can fluctuate between publishing our pieces and race-time. As a guide, a £0.50p win Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the prices, and assuming all four won, would return around £137 for your total £7.50 stake.
