Lucky 15 Tips: Richard seeks to engineer success for Carroll gelding

A terrific Saturday bursting with entertaining racing, as per. In my companion piece I've looked at the ITV coverage that takes in Cheltenham and Doncaster, and for our Lucky 15 tips I'm heading to Southwell for their nine-race all-weather flat card that kicks in at 15:45.
It's a late afternoon/early evening affair, with jocks of the calibre of Hayley Turner, Rossa Ryan and Richard Kingscote in attendance. Should be a belter.
Lucky 15 Tips - Saturday, December 14
Southwell
15:45 - Saddadd @ 11/10
A two-year-old novice stakes contest, over a mile. A field of colts, and just the one filly.
This is a selection based upon promise. Saddadd runs in the famous silks of Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum, and is trained by Roger Varian at Newmarket. He's an April foal, by Pinatubo out of a Cape Cross mare.
Beautifully bred then, and from a prestigious address. Sire Pinatubo campaigned quite brilliantly over 6f and 7f at two, then stepped up to a mile at three. There's stamina on the dam's side though, as Talmada got 10f, and Cape Cross was an out-and-out miler (took the G1 Lockinge).
Loads to commend him then, Jack Mitchell takes the mount, and let's dream that he might just be something out of the ordinary.
17:45 - Significantly @ 10/3
In contrast - an admirable six-year-old ex-Karl Burke gelding who's been with Julie Camacho since May '23.
Significantly had wind surgery in September, and after a break of 62 days ran well without quite landing a blow in a decent Class 2 handicap at Newcastle (beaten just under 5l).
He contested a Group 3 in the spring and was narrowly denied, so this conditions race is embraced at 6f. On official figures he's got a bit to find, but I don't feel likely main rivals Misty Grey and Iberian are remotely bomb-proof. The former returns after an absence of 196 days, and the latter's been absent for 160.
This might just be a good time to meet them, with a fitness edge and certainly the tools with which to do the job.
18:15 - Alshimali @ 7/2
Tony Carroll trains this three-year-old Invincible Spirit gelding, having acquired the horse from Marcus Tregoning in November.
Two spins for the new yard so far - the last of which was a career-best at Lingers, beaten just a length, over today's trip of 6f. Alshimali has been tried over further with little joy, but did run on to good effect last time. This stiffer track might just be ideal, as you really need to dig in and get home here.
He's up just a pound for that fine run, and Derby-winning jockey Richard Kingscote is on top for the first time. I like his chances.
19:15 - Skye Breeze @ 3/1
Class 3 handicappers go a mile-and-a-half in the evening's penultimate heat.
Skye Breeze is a course-and-distance scorer in the care of Ed Bethell on Middleham Moor in North Yorkshire. The five-year-old gelding reappears after a 213-day layoff but crucially has gone very well when fresh in the past.
He won off 78 at Newcastle in February and lines up today off a mark of 79. Hector Crouch (21% strike-rate over the last fortnight) takes the mount for the first time and he's certainly in fine fettle. Offers a bit of value in my book, and the likely favourite Haku has got 10st to carry.
This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!
The odds can fluctuate between publishing our pieces and race-time. As a guide, a £0.50p win Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the prices, and assuming all four won, would return around £220 for your total £7.50 stake.
