Everton vs Liverpool Stats: Goals, fouls and head-to-head record

After dropping points at Newcastle United in the Premier League on Wednesday, Liverpool will not be looking forward to a Merseyside Derby against Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday (12:30, TNT Sports 1). Why? They have won just two of the last 12 league meetings there, with a draw popping up on nine occasions.
They were beaten there last season and will look to avoid a repeat of that. They still boast a seven-point lead at the top of the table, but they need to be wary as Arsenal have picked up in recent weeks and Manchester City are back to winning ways.
Everton vs Liverpool Stats
- Liverpool sit 2nd in the Premier League form table (last six matches)
- There have been nine draws in the last 12 league meetings at Goodison Park
- Everton are unbeaten in their last two matches with Liverpool at Goodison Park
- Liverpool have won eight of their last 10 Premier League matches
Form Guide
Everton sit 15th in the Premier League form table after the last six matches, winning one and drawing three in that stretch. They head into this game having beaten Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-0 on home soil.
They have won two of their league games at Goodison Park this season, losing two and drawing three.
Liverpool may have dropped points at Newcastle but they have still won 18 of their 21 matches across all competitions under Arne Slot, losing just once - at home to Nottingham Forest.
The Reds are second in the form table, with the draw in the week seeing them drop behind Chelsea, who have won three on the spin in the top flight. The Blues have a three better goal difference than Liverpool over this period.
Head-To-Head
This will be the 211th league meeting between these two historic clubs and bitter rivals. Liverpool are quite ahead in terms of victories, having won on 82 occasions. Everton have been the derby winners on 59 occasions, while there have been 69 draws - 13 per cent of those have come in the last 12 encounters at Goodison.
The Reds have had more joy in the recent history of this fixture, winning four of the last six in the Premier League - with one of those victories coming at Goodison Park.
Everton did win this fixture on home soil last season, beating Liverpool 2-0 in what was Jurgen Klopp's final Merseyside derby. It put a huge dent in the Reds' title charge, which sparked the Toffees to chant "you lost the league at Goodison Park."
Goodison Park played host to a gripping 3-3 draw between the two sides back in 2013-14. Romelu Lukaku netted a brace for the hosts and Daniel Sturridge salvaged a point for the Reds in the 89th minute.

Goals
Everton have not been blessed with goals in the league this season, managing just 14 from as many matches in the top flight. Only Southampton (11), Crystal Palace (12) and Ipswich Town (13) have scored less goals than the Toffees.
There have been seven games already this season in which Everton have failed to find the back of the net in the Premier League.
Liverpool are the second-highest scorers in the top flight with 29 goals - two behind leaders Chelsea. The Reds have only failed to score once this season - September's 1-0 home defeat to Forest - and they have netted at least twice in each of their last nine appearances across all competitions.
Mohamed Salah is the Premier League top scorer with 13 goals, thanks to his brace against Newcastle last time out. He has provided 44 per cent of Liverpool's goal tally in the league, and when combined with his eight assists, only 28 per cent of the Reds' goals have been scored without the Egyptian's involvement.
Liverpool are playing well at the moment but there could be an argument that they are heavily reliant on their talisman. The Reds do boast the best defensive record in the division (11 goals), despite shipping three against the Magpies.

Cards
Liverpool have picked up 31 yellow cards in the Premier League so far this season, with Alexis Mac Allister receiving five of them. He collected his latest against Newcastle and will subsequently miss the Merseyside derby due to suspension.
Fellow midfielder Ryan Gravenberch is walking a tightrope having picked up four bookings himself, so he will need to be on his best behaviour on derby day - if that's even possible?
Everton's total of 23 yellow cards is only bettered by Brentford (20). Defender Michael Keane leads the way in the Toffees' ranks with four bookings, but seeing as he hasn't started the last few games, he does not present a risk to Sean Dyche this weekend.

Fouls
Liverpool have committed 165 fouls in the top flight, and Gravenberch has been their biggest perpetrator with 22 for himself.
Everton have given 153 away themselves and Idrissa Gueye is their biggest offender with 23 so far.
Corners
Liverpool have recorded the fourth-most corners in the Premier League with 87, which averages at around 6.2 per game.
Everton on the other hand, have amassed the third-lowest with 60, with their average coming in at 4.2 per game.
