Horse Racing Tips: Go Large at Ludlow on Wednesday

There's a mixture of National Hunt and Flat racing in the UK and Ireland on Wednesday, with five meetings taking place from late-morning and into the evening.
Among my horse racing selections for Wednesday is a nine-year-old gelding representing the in-form Venetia Williams in the staying handicap chase from Ludlow.
Horse Racing Tips - Wednesday, November 4
12:28 Ludlow - Kazontherazz e/w @ 11/2
Finally, KAZONTHERAZZ is thought capable of making her presence felt in Ludlow’s opening Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle.
The eight-year-old Kayf Tara mare has finished second seven times and third three times in her 21-race career, but she has exceptional winning claims on this occasion based on a couple of those placed efforts in better-grade contests within the past 12 months.
Given Betfred's advanced place terms, this is an each-way suggestion at the quoted price.
This is an Extra Place Race, with 3 places on offer at 1/5 the odds for all each-way bets.

14:35 Ludlow - Frenchy Du Large @ 7/2
FRENCHY DU LARGE is representing Williams in the Corrie Cup Handicap Chase over 3m1f at Ludlow on Wednesday afternoon, returning from a 572-day break since matching his personal best Racing Post Rating (RPR) of 139 at Market Rasen in May 2023.
Williams went 8-25 (32%) in the past 14 days, once again showcasing her talented knack of winning with well-treated chasers returning from lengthy spells off the track.
She is 57-284 (20% +£30.03) with her runners over fences at Ludlow and Wednesday’s jockey Ned Fox is 14-63 (22%) when riding over fences for the yard.
The selection is competing from an enticing mark of 129, and Fox’s 5lb claim gives him even more room to manoeuvre on the handicapping front, if ready to do himself justice as seems likely.
Encouragingly, his previous personal best RPR of 139 came over this exact distance on good to soft ground at Haydock in April 2023, so conditions should be ideal for a previous winner on this course
There is also little in the way of confirmed pace in this contest, so his prominent running style is a tactical bonus that should allow him to get a good sight of the 22 fences, and getting into a good jumping rhythm can be crucial in a contest of this nature.

15:10 Ludlow - Lagonda @ 11/2
LAGONDA is also returning from a break and representing an in-form Williams over fences at Ludlow on Wednesday.
The nine-year-old mare is competing from an enticing mark of 106 on her reappearance in this Novices’ Handicap Chase.
The selection finished just under eight lengths fifth of nine behind Marsh Wren on her seasonal reappearance at Warwick last season, and the winner is now rated 147.
Shane Quinlan was in the saddle when the selection won a staying maiden hurdle at Chepstow in April 2023. He is claiming a handy 3lb in the saddle, considering he is 13-60 (22% +£5.71) when riding over fences for Williams.
