Brentford are unbeaten in their last two matches and have an impressive home record this season in the Premier League. They will look to keep this going when Leicester City head to the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday (15:00).

The Foxes head into their first match since Steve Cooper was given the boot, despite them sitting outside the bottom three. They have lost two in a row and head to a ground where better teams have failed to leave with any points. Read on for my Brentford vs Leicester City prediction, alongside the latest match odds and team news.

Brentford vs Leicester City Betting Tips

  • Over 2.5 Brentford goals @ 7/4
  • Bet Builder - Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa to score anytime @ 9/2

Brentford vs Leicester City Odds

Brentford are 4/6 to win this match, which gives them a theoretical chance of 60%. Leicester City are 4/1 to become the first team to beat the Bees in their own backyard this season, giving them an implied probability of 20%. The draw is marketed at 16/5 (23.8%).

Over 2.5 goals is available at 8/15 and both teams to score can be backed at 4/7.

Brentford attacker Bryan Mbeumo has eight goals in the top flight so far, and he is the 13/10 favourite to score anytime on Saturday. He is closely followed by striker Yoane Wissa at 7/5, who has seven goals for the Bees.

Team News

Brentford were successful in their appeal of the red card Christian Norgaard picked up in the goalless draw at Everton last time out. The midfielder is likely to maintain his place in the middle of the park alongside Mathias Jensen and Vitaly Janelt.

Defender Ethan Pinnock was able to overcome a knock he suffered on international duty with Jamaica to feature at Goodison Park last week. He'll likely start again in the heart of defence, partnering Nathan Collins.

The back four has been completed by Keane Lewis-Potter at left-back and Sepp van den Bergh at right-back for the last few matches, so this is expected to continue against the Foxes.

Kristoffer Ajer, Josh Dasilva and Aaron Hickey remain out of action for the Bees, while Rico Henry is edging closer to returning to action after a long-term absence.

Thomas Frank was able to hand forward Igor Thiago his Brentford debut last week as he came on from the bench, and he gives the hosts another valuable attacking option moving forward.

He will have to be patient for a start as Mikkel Damsgaard, Wissa and Mbeumo are working well together at the moment. Someone who isn't being patient is the father of Fabio Carvalho, who commented on the club's own Instagram post calling for his son to leave.

For Leicester, Ben Dawson is overseeing first-team duties while the club searches for Cooper's replacement. It's hard to gauge what his lineup could look like on Saturday, but it is likely that it will be similar to what we've seen from the Foxes so far this campaign.

Only Ricardo Pereira and Jakub Stolarczyk are ruled out through injury for the trip to west London. Jamie Vardy, Jordan Ayew and Bobby De Cordova-Reid were able to shake off problems to feature in the defeat to Chelsea last week, while Patson Daka returned after a lengthy absence.

Over 2.5 Brentford goals @ 7/4

I think the Bees will win this one given their impressive home record and the fact that Leicester are currently leaderless. I don't think 4/6 for that to happen is most enticing so I'm backing them to score at least three goals instead at 7/4.

It's a good price for something that has happened frequently for the hosts at the Gtech Community Stadium this term. This selection has landed four times and just one of their last five home games has seen them fail to reach this threshold.

They've scored three against Southampton and most recently AFC Bournemouth, four against Ipswich Town and five against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Against a team that have leaked 23 goals already this season, I think the Bees can have another prolific afternoon in front of goal and sting the Foxes.

I don't like to dig out players but Leicester defender Wout Faes flatters to deceive as a Premier League footballer. His comedic error against Nottingham Forest the other week was followed by more tomfoolery against Chelsea last week for Nicolas Jackson's opener.

Both of those gaffs were televised, which hasn't done his reputation any favours. The Brentford attackers are going to be targeting him for 90 minutes this weekend - that's if he isn't dropped.

Which leads me nicely into my second selection. Brentford's two leading scorers have been a joy to watch in the Premier League in recent years and both have started 2024/25 strongly.

I tipped Wissa to score last week against the Toffees to no avail, but my faith in him isn't shaken. I think he will bounce back at home to Leicester because that's where most (six) of his seven-goal tally have been scored this season.

His last two appearances on home soil have resulted in braces, so he could be in line for a couple more here against a leaky defence. Mbeumo feels like he is overdue a goal or two as well, with the Cameroon international going three games without a goal in the league.

The attacker also netted a brace the last time he found the back of the net, which was also at home, so I think it's worth backing him to get back on the scoresheet too. Both of these players have the quality to punish a poor Leicester side, and based on their performances this season, I think 9/2 offers good value for them to do just that.
