Horse Racing Tips: Park can stroll to victory at Kempton

There are just the two meetings taking place across Britain on Monday and both will be National Hunt fixtures. Kempton’s seven-race card kicks us off at 12.30 and there’s Listed action on offer, alongside the potential chase debut of Iberico Lord. Ludlow follows soon after as they race from 12.45 to 3.25.
I have three strong fancies on Monday and they include a Harry Fry horse who will be looking to get the better of Betfair Hurdle-winner Iberico Lord. Read below for my Horse Racing Tips for Monday, November 25.
Horse Racing Tips - Monday, November 25
13:30 Kempton - Gidleigh Park @ 6/5
Harry Fry’s GIDLEIGH PARK was one of Britain’s best novice hurdlers last term and one look at him will tell you that he should find significant improvement over fences.
This strong and powerful-looking gelding has plenty of size and scope, so could be one to follow over fences this season.
He looked good when winning an Exeter novice hurdle in November and took a step forward to get the better of the useful Fire Flyer under a penalty at Newbury. That race has produced several subsequent winners and it was an excellent performance from Fry’s gelding.
Gidleigh Park had to do it the hard way when stepped up to Grade 2 company at Cheltenham after that and he battled well to get the better of Lucky Place by half-a-length.
His rival that day has since finished fourth in the Coral Cup and won the Grade 2 Ascot Hurdle over the weekend, suggesting the form is hard to knock.
Too keen when sixth in the Albert Bartlett last time out, the drop back in trip should help with that, and a big performance is anticipated.
15:10 Kempton - Doddiethegreat @ 11/4
Nicky Henderson appears to be targeting Kempton’s meeting on Monday and the second of his chase debutants running on the card is DODDIETHEGREAT. He looked very promising early on in his career and can progress in this sphere.
The handicapper has dropped him 1lb for a couple of below-par displays in March and April, but you can put a line through those performances as the entire yard was badly out of form at the time.
Henderson’s eight-year-old stayed on eye-catchingly well to take fourth behind stablemate Iberico Lord in the Betfair Hurdle and he should be winning races at this sort of level off the same mark now.
Fences could facilitate further improvement and it would be no surprise to see him get back on track with victory here.
14:50 Ludlow - Mr Grey Sky @ 5/2
Ludlow’s feature race is a competitive two-mile handicap chase and Kim Bailey runs the veteran MR GREY SKY. This horse has an excellent first-time-out record in recent seasons and he should be in the mix once again here.
His last success came off this mark at Chepstow in November last year and has struggled a little off higher marks since.
Bailey’s 10-year-old was particularly impressive off a 5lb lower mark at Huntingdon last term and still has relatively few miles on the clock for a horse of his age.
The yard has been operating at a very healthy strike rate of 31 per cent in the last fortnight and their last two runners have won. Further success could be on the agenda here and Mr Grey Sky looks well set to go close.
