Nap of the Day: Pure Theatre can perform at Ludlow

There are just two meetings scheduled on Monday, with a pair of afternoon jumps cards taking place in Britain. They come at Kempton and Ludlow, with the Listed Racing TV Mares' Hurdle (14:35) at Kempton the feature event on the day.
My Nap of the Day runs in the last race on Ludlow's card and could be set to shine for in-form trainer Anthony Honeyball.
Nap of the Day - Monday, November 25
- 15:25 Ludlow - Pure Theatre @ 9/2
It's a six-race offering at Ludlow on Monday afternoon and the finale at the Shropshire layout is the Join RacingTV Now Handicap Hurdle over just shy of three miles.
Recent 2m5f course winner Melton Mossy is a contender for the Evan Williams team, but he's 5lb higher and tackling an increased trip here with much more weight on his back.
Faerie Cutlass has C&D form for Kim Bailey and enters the equation, while the consistent Greatness Awaits should give his usual running for Alistair Ralph.
The appealing alternative to that trio is PURE THEATRE for trainer Anthony Honeyball.
The Potwell Farm handler has his team in fine fettle, with a 33 per cent strike rate (5-15) across the previous fortnight.
This mare scored over hurdles at Exeter (2m½f, good) and Fontwell (2m5½f, good) in the spring last year and she was an eye-catcher on seasonal return at Worcester (2m7f, good) in August, when running on from the back of the field to finish midpack, beaten just over six lengths.
Off the back of that, she went off favourite on her chasing bow at Fontwell in September, but her jumping was less than fluent and finished tailed off.
Her next assignment was a Class 2 Mares' Handicap Hurdle over 2m5½f at Wincanton earlier this month and she ran about as well as odds of 20/1 anticipated in the strongest race she has contested to date.
She drops significantly in class again now and goes back up in trip. She is 2lb below her last winning mark and will be aided here by the 10lb claim of Chad Bament in the saddle.
The conditional rider lacks experience, but he rode his first winner last month for the Honeyball team on Juggernaut at Stratford and this mare could be nicely placed to give him a second success.
She will appreciate the conditions underfoot, is not yet exposed at this distance, and could be nicely treated here when factoring in that sizeable claim in the saddle.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
