Southwell Tips: Be wary of the Sneaky Blinder

It's a busy midweek for racing fans with five UK and Irish meetings taking place on Wednesday. Southwell stages a whopping nine-race evening all-weather programme at the Nottinghamshire layout from 16:30-20:30.
We have selected a trio of runners to watch out for at Southwell on Wednesday evening, November 13, including Sneaky Blinder on his second start for new connections.
Southwell Tips - Wednesday, November 13
16:30 Southwell – I Can Imagine @ 3/1
I CAN IMAGINE is a filly by US Navy Flag having her first run for trainer Jack Jones after leaving Joseph O'Brien.
She ran well in defeat on the Polytrack at Dundalk twice over 7f and was second last month at Gowran Park (1m½f, soft) in a maiden behind a first-time-out winner.
This filly has run to a mark of 75 and is now set to compete in novice company for the first time for her new connections.
Sex On Fire and once-raced Wolverhampton scorer Immediate Effect are the standard bearers but I Can Imagine still has scope for better and her proven stamina is an asset over this trip at Southwell.

18:00 Southwell – Magical Morning @ 50/1
It might be worth taking a chance on MAGICAL MORNING for Amy Murphy in this Class 3 handicap contest over 1m3f.
The Muhaarar gelding was once a stylish performer on turf for John & Thady Gosden, with a peak rating of 110.
He hasn't got his head in front yet for this yard but he was second in valuable events at Meydan and Saint-Cloud in early 2023.
He returned after 499 days off at Redcar at the end of last month (1m, soft) and was entitled to need the run, while conditions underfoot wouldn't have been to his liking.
He is on a career-low mark of 87 now and if he takes to this surface, he could be a major factor over a trip at which he remains unexposed but has shown signs of promise in the past.

18:30 Southwell - Sneaky Blinder @ 15/2
A mile-and-a-half is the trip in store for the 12-strong field in this Class 6 handicap and SNEAKY BLINDER is one worth considering for a big run.
He managed just one win for Tom Ward from his 15 starts, scoring at Salisbury (1m2f, good) in July in this grade.
He made the move to Robert Stephens at the end of the summer and was fancied for his stable bow at Yarmouth (1m3½f, soft) but he was never able to challenge from the rear and came home essentially in his own time.
The soft ground could have been a contributing factor in that effort, while his rider appeared to feel he wasn't giving his all and it is a run worth forgiving.
The regular blinkers are redeployed now and a mark of 53 is one he can work from. He has handled the synthetic surfaces before and remains unexposed at this trip.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
