Burnley vs Swansea City Prediction: Any goals on Sunday for the Clarets?

Burnley’s 0-0 draw at West Brom did nothing to stop the criticism coming Scott Parker’s way. They’ve now failed to score in their last three outings and return back to Turf Moor to host Swansea City (15:00, Sky Sports+).
The Swans have won their last two after downing Watford in midweek, and will hope to take advantage of a Burnley side that isn’t firing on all cylinders. Below you can find my Burnley vs Swansea prediction featuring team news and betting tips.
Team News
Another clean sheet for Burnley is a major positive, as James Trafford continues to impress behind Maxime Esteve and CJ Egan-Riley. Josh Brownhill and Josh Cullen will continue to work hard in the middle of the pitch, while it remains to be seen if Parker rolls the dice further up the pitch.
Jay Rodriguez would offer a different option up front than Zian Flemming, but that feels like a big statement at this stage. Jaidon Anthony and Luca Koleosho will hope to produce a goal from the wide positions.
After serving a suspension for picking up five yellow cards, Josh Tymon is back in contention for Swansea this weekend. Other than than, Luke Williams will have the same group of players to choose from, with Jay Fulton and Sam Parker moving towards a return.
“We have Josh back but otherwise I think it will be as we were,” he said at his pre-match press conference. “Sam Parker is training with the conditioning team so hopefully he will be in full training with the squad soon.
“Jay Fulton is also doing some work out on the grass but he is not at that stage yet, he will need a bit longer. We will hopefully see Jisung Eom soon after the international break. It may be a little bit longer but that’s the plan.”
Burnley are priced at 10/11 to win this game, giving them an implied win probability of 52%. The away side can be backed at 3/1, a draw is 13/5 and over 2.5 goals is 6/5. BTTS is 1/1 and Flemming is the favourite to open the scoring at 11/2.
Double Chance: Draw or Swansea @ 9/10
I just cannot get behind Burnley right now. All that talent looks to be going to waste under Parker, and so this weekend I’m going to side with a Swansea outfit who have picked up lately. Two wins on the bounce wil leave them full of confidence while they also managed to keep a clean sheet against Watford.
Burnley just don’t seem to be able to put the ball in the net at the moment and once again, the manager is taking the brunt of the criticism. If Swansea get an early goal, the atmosphere could quickly turn at Turf Moor, and so on this occasion I think the value lies in backing Swansea or a draw - Double Chance. Let’s see how it pans out.

Burnley 0-0 Swansea @ 17/2
The best value on offer here is surely to back a 0-0 draw. We’ve seen Burnley draw two of their last three games 0-0, while their other matches during that run finished 1-0 to Millwall. There’s clearly not a lot of confidence in Burnley’s forward line right now and they seem quite easy to play against.
That’s a problem for Parker to try and solve, while Swansea managed to keep Watford at bay in the week and will be targeting another clean sheet on the road. I think 17/2 is a massive price for a 0-0 at Turf Moor on Sunday.
