Lille vs Juventus Prediction: David at the double for Les Douges

Lille and Juventus are two of seven teams to have won two and lost one of their first three Uefa Champions League league phase games this season. The sides will meet in Villeneuve d'Aszq on Tuesday (20:00, TNT Sports 5), with the French outfit hosting the contest at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
Below is my Lille vs Juventus prediction, complete with all the latest team news and match odds.
Lille vs Juventus Betting Tips
Team News
Both Lille and Juventus have a considerable absentee list heading into Tuesday's game, but the former are arguably worse off.
Nabil Bentaleb, Remy Cabella, Samuel Umtiti, Ismaily, Tiago Santos, Hakon Arnar Haraldsson and Ethan Mbappe are among those sitting out the visit of Juventus this week.
Lille drew 1-1 with Lyon in Ligue 1 last Friday, a result that left the hosts disappointed after taking the lead in the 17th minute through Jonathan David and holding on until the first minute of second-half stoppage-time.
Alexsandro was suspended for that contest but is likely to be restored to the starting XI on Tuesday after being ever-present in Les Douges' Champions League journey so far this season.
Ayyoub Bouaddi, who played the duration of Lille's 1-0 win over Real Madrid last month and came on as a substitute against Lyon, could also make Bruno Genesio's starting XI.
Juventus will be without injured trio Bremer, Nicolas Gonzalez and Arkadiusz Milik, while Danilo is suspended after his red card in last month's 1-0 loss to Stuttgart. Douglas Luiz, however, may return from a four-game absence.
The Old Lady beat Udinese 2-0 on Saturday and head coach Thiago Motta could stick with the starting XI that served him so well at the Bluenergy Stadium, although Juan Cabal, Francisco Conceicao, Nicolo Fagioli and Weston McKennie are among those pushing for promotions from the substitutes bench.

Lille are 2/1 to take all three points in France, giving the hosts an implied win probability of 33.3%, while Juventus are 6/4, or a 40% chance, to return to winning ways in the Champions League.
A draw is priced at 21/10, both teams to score at 5/6 and over 2.5 total goals at 6/5
Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic (13/8), who has scored twice in this season's Champions League, is favourite to score anytime on Tuesday, followed by Lille's David (2/1), who has three in the competition after netting the winner against Real Madrid and bagging a brace in the 3-1 win at Atletico Madrid last time out.
Anytime Goalscorer - Jonathan David (LIL) @ 2/1
Only Bayern Munich's Harry Kane (five) and Barcelona's Raphinha (four) have scored more goals in the league phase of the 2024/25 Champions League than David who, like 11 others, has struck three times in the competition.
Impressively, all three goals have come against Madrid clubs, with the most recent two arriving as a substitute at Atletico.
Two of his three strikes in the Champions League have been from the penalty spot, so that is something to take into consideration here - perhaps it increases his chances of scoring, or lessens it as he has only struck once in open play.
The Canadian has, though, also made a great start to the Ligue 1 campaign, netting seven times in 10 games, and he looks on track to beat last season's 19-goal haul in the French top flight.
Juventus kicked off life under Motta with four consecutive clean sheets and kept seven in their first eight Serie A outings.
However, before shutting out Udinese on the weekend, Juve shipped six goals across draws with Inter Milan (4-4) and Parma (2-2), while they are yet to keep a clean sheet in Europe, beating PSV Eindhoven (3-1) and RB Leipzig (3-2) before losing 1-0 to Stuttgart last time out.
At 2/1, and considering he has already found the net against elite-level opposition in Real Madrid and Atletico (twice), I think David is worth backing for a goal again on Tuesday.

Player to Receive a Card - Jonathan David (LIL) @ 11/2
I'm staying with David for my second selection, and backing the 24-year-old to be booked.
Odds of 11/2 are generous, in my opinion, considering he has been cautioned in both league phase starts he has made - against Sporting and Real Madrid. He's averaging 1.3 fouls per game in the competition having made two against Real Madrid and another two away to Atletico; his yellow in Lisbon, meanwhile, was for remonstrating with the referee.
David has only been booked once in Ligue 1 action this season but that was fairly recently (October 28) in a 2-0 win at RC Lens.
The Lille centre-forward is not an obvious candidate in this market but with yellows in both starts he has made in this season's Champions League, he's an appealing price.
Maybe he'll score and take his shirt off to land two in one.
A double, if you're interested, pays out at 8/1 in a Bet Builder.
