Horse Racing Tips: 16/1 Hock Eye can hit the target on Tuesday

There are five meetings taking place across Britain and Ireland on Tuesday, with National Hunt racing taking centre stage.
Fairyhouse kicks us off the day before they race at Redcar, Warwick, Sedgefield and Newcastle. My horse racing tips for Tuesday, November 5 include a handicap debutant for Charlie Johnston that could be open to significant improvement in this sphere.
Horse Racing Tips - Tuesday, November 5
12:50 Redcar - Hock Eye The Noo @ 16/1
Impressive last-time-out winner Say What You See is likely to prove popular under a 6lb penalty at Redcar but handicap debutante HOCK EYE THE NOO could be the one to come out on top in the second race on the card.
The two-year-old was beaten by only a length-and-a-quarter when finishing third on debut at Lingfield in August. She was squeezed out at the start and forced to race wide and may well have finished closer if not for that.
A couple of slightly disappointing fifth-place finishes have followed but her run over an extended mile at Wolverhampton in September is the better of the two efforts.
The switch to handicaps is likely to facilitate significant improvement and an opening mark of 63 looks fairly workable on the evidence of her debut effort. We should start to see what she’s made of now and a big run shouldn’t be ruled out.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
13:50 Warwick - Kintail @ 9/2
Many of Nicky Henderson’s horses struggled over the winter and spring months last term and, as a result, the yard’s form wasn’t an accurate representation of the horses’ abilities.
KINTAIL showed plenty of promise when winning his first start over hurdles and should be a good deal better than his last couple of runs suggest. He won comfortably at Warwick over a furlong shorter in November and that race has produced four subsequent winners.
The drop back in trip at Cheltenham next time probably didn’t suit him but he was far from disgraced when finishing fourth after losing a shoe. The highly promising mare Dysart Enos was the winner that day and that form is rock-solid.
Fading tamely after the second last on handicap debut at Lingfield next time, he looked like something was up and appears to be a victim of whatever was ailing the Henderson yard last term.
A mark of 115 is likely to severely underestimate him with that in mind and although he’s the lowest rated horse in the race, that fact probably doesn’t tell the full story. His trainer expects him to have a big future and he can come out on top here with Nico de Boinville on board.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
15:00 Warwick - I’m Ravenous @ 9/4
Connections have wasted no time in sending the thoroughly unexposed I’M RAVENOUS over fences and one would imagine they’re happy with a mark of 113.
Ben Pauling’s six-year-old has had just four starts so far and clearly appreciated the step up to 2m4f when getting off the mark in a Sedgefield maiden hurdle last month.
Surely connections could have had some fun with him in novice and handicap races over hurdles so it could be significant that they have opted to go chasing so soon.
Also making his handicap debut here, there could be any amount of improvement to come and he should be one to watch at this level.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
